    Abstract: A multi-phase rotor comprising a disk body, an inlet to receive a liquid into the rotor, and at least one outlet configured to expel the liquid from the internal rotor cavity. A flow path is provided between the inlet and the at least one outlet by a liquid intake channel and internal rotor cavity. The rotor is configured to be rotatable about an axis of rotation and a continuous stable vapour cavity is formed in the internal rotor cavity as the rotor rotates above a stable cavity threshold rotational speed.

    Abstract: A centrifugal pump for conveying a fluid, includes a pump housing, a rotor configured to convey the fluid disposed within the housing; and a stator which, together with the rotor, forms an electromagnetic rotary drive configured to rotate the rotor about an axial direction. The stator is a bearing and drive stator with which the rotor capable of being magnetically driven without contact and magnetically levitated without contact with respect to the stator. The rotor is passively magnetically levitated in the axial direction, and actively magnetically levitated in a radial plane perpendicular to the axial direction. The pump housing includes comprising a bottom and a cover, and the rotor is arranged in the pump housing between the bottom and the cover with respect to the axial direction. An indentation is disposed in the bottom or in the cover, the indentation being configured to generate a local turbulence.

    Abstract: A self-priming assembly for a multi-stage pump is provided. The self-priming assembly includes a first diffuser with a first central portion, a first diffuser axis, a first arcuate channel within the first central portion, and a first arcuate passage extending through the first central portion and a first peripheral portion having a first ledge. The self-priming assembly also includes a second diffuser with a second central portion, a second diffuser axis, a second arcuate channel within the second central portion, a second arcuate passage extending through the second central portion, and a second peripheral portion having a second ledge. The first ledge abuts the second ledge. Further, the self-priming assembly includes an impeller with an impeller axis. The first diffuser and the second diffuser are configured to be combined and to receive the impeller therebetween with the first diffuser axis, the second diffuser axis, and the impeller axis aligned.

    Abstract: A rotor having spiral pathways to enable liquid or gas to flow from a center to an exterior thereof. The spiral pathways increases power generated (input force) as liquid/gas travels therethrough. The spiral pathway rotor includes an inner disk and an outer disk. Inner disk includes a central opening for receiving the liquid/gas and is connected to a plurality of pathways that extend toward an outer edge in a spiral manner. Nozzles may be utilized to expel the liquid/gas. Outer disk includes an open interior having a plurality of teeth formed on an interior surface. The teeth are configured to receive the liquid/gas expelled from inner disk which causes the rotor to rotate and thus increases the input force thereof. The input force is amplified to an output force on a shaft connected thereto.
