    摘要: A clutch which reacts to torque overload has a ribbed disc which is produced by plastics injection moulding and which is, along its inner or outer periphery, encapsulated in encircling fashion and on both axial side surfaces by an encompassing ring. Said encompassing ring, owing to shrinkage as a result of cooling, enters into static friction engagement with the ribbed disc, and furthermore engages, by means of bevelled flanks, with ribs running radially on at least one of the side surfaces of the ribbed disc.

    摘要: A rod clamp device having a rod clamp sleeve with a frusto-conical outer surface and an annular cam with a frusto-conical inner surface and an annular ball guide cage arranged to equalize movement of the bearing balls in circumferentially spaced paths along the clamp sleeve so that the annular cam applies pressure through the bearing balls uniformly around the rod clamp sleeve when the cam is moved axially in one direction to a rod clamp position, and the annular cam uniformly releases pressure on the bearing balls when the cam is moved axially in an opposite direction to a release position. The rod clamp sleeve has slots and the ball guide cage is keyed to the clamp sleeve to maintain a preset angular relation therebetween while allowing relative axial movement.

    摘要: A rotary valve actuator and linkage include an actuator having a tubular housing with end caps and a piston that is moved by fluid pressure against a compression spring. A rolling diaphragm is used to bias the piston. A pair of ports are provided on opposite sides of the housing, and a linkage having two arms is interconnected with the piston through the ports. The linkage is coupled to a rotary valve shaft and linear movement of the piston causes rotational movement of the shaft. The linkage includes two separate arms and a centerpiece. In one embodiment, the arms and the centerpiece interengage each other at angled surfaces that force the centerpiece and the arms into radial engagement with the shaft when axial compression is provided to the arms and centerpiece to force them toward each other. In another embodiment, each of the linkage arms is provided with a collet having radially movable portions. The collet is forced into a recess in the centerpiece, causing the radially movable portions to be locked in engagement with the shaft.

    摘要: A threaded bush assembly for receiving and coupling a shaft to a rotatable hub includes a tubular sleeve member which is located within the rotatable hub and a tubular bush member adapted to be received in either end of the sleeve member. The bush member has a central bore in which the shaft is received and is axially moveable relative to the sleeve member by means of screw threaded members. The inner circumferential surface of the sleeve member and the outer circumferential surface of the bush member each have a helical thread formed thereon. The cross-section of both threads is defined by a pair of mutually opposed tapered surfaces. The two threads are screw threadedly engageable with one another, yet define a gap therebetween which enables relative axial movement of the two threads with respect to one another such that upon axial movement of the bush member relative to the sleeve member, one tapered surface of one thread wedges against the facing tapered surface of the other thread.

    摘要: A wheel tread adjusting device has a flat plate provided with a plurality of holes. Two of the holes align with the jack screw bores normally present in a tapered sleeve-type hub to mount the plate to the tapered sleeve. A cut-out bore allows the plate to rest flush against the tapered sleeve without interfering with the normally present lug bolts. Two additional bores are positioned radially outside of the tapered sleeve and hold jack screws to unwedge the tapered sleeve from the hub. An adjustment rod is selectively engageable with either of two adjustment bores in the plate. Another portion of the rod can be threaded through a bracket mounted to the end of the axle, or through a lug bolt bore in the hub of an outer wheel, if dual wheels are present. The structure is extremely simple, uses the normally present bores to the maximum extent, and is made predominantly of standard available parts.
