Abstract: A multiple-disc friction clutch includes clutch centers, which are first and second clutch centers. The first clutch center is axially supported by an output rotation shaft in a relatively non-rotatable manner. The second clutch center is supported by the first clutch center in a relatively rotatable manner. Elastic members are interposed between the first and the second clutch centers and are compressed and deformed by relative rotation of the first and the second clutch centers so as to transmit power. The second clutch center has a side wall that faces a pressure plate and has an opening part that penetrates in an axial direction, at a position facing the elastic member of the side wall. A push rod is inserted and fitted in the opening part and is moved in the axial direction by compression deformation of the elastic member so as to press the pressure plate.

Abstract: A state changing unit is provided radially outward of a translation portion and movable in an axial direction relative to the translation portion. The state changing unit is in contact with or separated from the clutch. The state changing unit receives a force in the axial direction from the translation portion such that the state changing unit is pressed against the clutch. The state changing unit is capable of changing a state of the clutch to an engaged state or a disengaged state according to a position of the translation portion in the axial direction relative to the housing. A movement restriction portion is provided on the translation portion and located between the state changing unit and the clutch. The movement restriction portion contacts the state changing unit and restricts movement of the state changing unit relative to the translation portion toward the clutch.

Abstract: A prime mover includes a stator fixed to a housing and a rotor relatively rotatable relative to the stator. The prime mover outputs torque from the rotor by being supplied with electric power. A speed reducer reduces the torque of the prime mover and outputs the reduced torque. One bearing portion rotatably supports the rotor. The speed reducer includes an input portion that is coaxial and integrally rotatable with the rotor and receives the torque from the rotor.

Abstract: A clutch cover for a friction clutch and a friction clutch, where the clutch cover forms a ring wall and the ring wall forms a plurality of circumferentially spaced radially extending plates having each a radially outer end. Abstract: A clutch pack for a clutch in a drive train of a motor vehicle includes an axis defining an axial direction and a disk, rotatable about the axis, for contacting a counter-disk to transfer a torque. The disk includes a main body with a contact region for absorbing torque from or transferring a torque to the counter-disk, a toothed region for torque-transmitting contact with a disk carrier, and a region of specific elastic softness in the axial direction disposed between the contact region and the toothed region. In an example embodiment, the region of specific elastic softness in the axial direction is a steel sheet spring region.

Abstract: A shifting system includes an input member, a disconnect, an output member, and a shifting assembly to selectively rotationally couple the input member and the output member. The shifting assembly includes an input hub having a disconnectable component engageable with the disconnect and a clutch engagement component extending radially away from an axis. A plurality of clutch plates is coupled to the clutch engagement component and is moveable between engaged and disengaged positions. A biasing member is coupled to the clutch plates to bias the clutch plates toward the engaged position, and an apply plate is coupled to the biasing member. The apply plate is moveable between a first plate position where the clutch plates are in the engaged position, and a second plate position where the clutch plates are in the disengaged position. A clutch plate carrier is coupled to the clutch plates and to the output member.

Abstract: A clutch assembly includes a journal bracket having a center shaft, a drive feature rotatably supported on the center shaft of the journal bracket and configured to accept a torque input to the clutch assembly, a clutch pack that is controllable to selectively transmit torque between an input and an output, a housing attached to the clutch pack that includes a stub shaft, a removable connection engaged between the drive feature and the stub shaft such that torque is transmittable through the removable connection during operation of the clutch assembly, and one or more perpendicular engagement features on the stub shaft configured to accept a tool to engage and disengage the removable connection. At least one of the perpendicular engagement features is exposed to line-of-sight access from a location substantially perpendicular to an axis of rotation of the clutch pack.

Abstract: A self-adjusting clutch actuator includes a transmission element displaceable in a displacement direction; and a compensation mechanism having a piston displaceable in the displacement direction of the transmission element. The compensation mechanism allows a first relative displacement (X) of the transmission element relative to the piston in the displacement direction when there is no actuating force in the clutch actuator, and blocks the first relative displacement (X) when an actuating force is introduced into the clutch actuator by bringing a frictional element (4) into contact with a counter-element. The frictional element (4) is designed for a second relative displacement (Y) relative to the counter-element when the first relative displacement (X) is not blocked by the compensation mechanism (22). A translatory mechanism provided between the transmission element (1) and the piston (2) is designed to cause the second relative movement (Y), by the first relative displacement (X) relative to the counter-element.
