    Abstract: A clutch device for a motor vehicle includes a disc pack and an actuation device. The disc pack includes an outer disc pack and an inner disc pack arranged. The actuation device includes a retaining element, a primary piston, a secondary piston and a spring element. The primary piston and the secondary piston are each arranged on the retaining element in an axially displaceable manner and delimit respective pressure chambers. The spring element is integrally formed with the secondary piston and connects the primary and secondary pistons. When a pressure is applied to a pressure medium in the primary pressure chamber, the primary piston is arranged to move the outer disc pack against the inner disc pack and frictionally transmit torque. When a pressure is applied to a pressure medium in the secondary pressure chamber, the secondary piston is arranged to move the primary piston against the outer disc pack.

    Abstract: A dual clutch transmission for a motor vehicle power train for selectively coupling rotating transmission members includes a base assembly, a bearing mounted rotating assembly which is rotatable with respect to the base assembly, first and second torque transmission assemblies movable between disengaged and engaged positions, and first and second actuation mechanisms associated with the first and second torque transmissions assemblies. The actuating mechanisms are arranged for moving the respective torque transmission assemblies between the disengaged and engaged positions for selectively coupling the transmission members. The first torque transmission assembly couples two rotating members in the engaged position. The first actuating mechanism includes a hydraulic actuating mechanism having a piston chamber and a piston for moving the first torque transmission assembly between the disengaged and engaged positions. The piston chamber is arranged in the base assembly, and the piston actuates the first torque transmission assembly in the rotating assembly.

    Abstract: A clutch assembly includes a first shaft extending along and rotatable about a first shaft axis, and a second shaft extending along and rotatable about a second shaft axis that is parallel with the first shaft axis. The clutch assembly also includes a first friction component coupled to and rotatable with the first shaft, and a second friction component coupled to and rotatable with the second shaft. The clutch assembly additionally includes a band clutch assembly. The band clutch assembly includes a retaining band disposed about the first and second friction components, and a retaining component coupled to the retaining band. The retaining band is engageable with the first and second friction components, and the retaining band and the retaining component are rotatable with the first and second shafts during rotation of the first and second shafts.

    Abstract: A kit for modifying an OE vehicle transmission includes a replacement forward piston housing, forward clutch hub and a forward clutch and a replacement direct piston housing, direct clutch hub and a direct clutch. A drum extends between and operably connects the replacement forward piston housing and direct piston housing. The kit includes a replacement sprag shaft. The forward clutch hub and forward clutch and the direct clutch hub and direct clutch are positioned between the forward piston housing and the direct piston housing. At least a portion of the forward clutch and at least a portion of the direct clutch are operably mounted to the drum. The forward piston housing and direct piston housing do not counter rotate relative to one another. A power flow module for an OE vehicle automatic transmission is disclosed.
