    摘要: A constant velocity universal joint for transmitting torque, having an outer joint part with outer ball tracks, an inner joint part with inner ball tracks, torque transmitting balls guided by pairs of outer and inner ball tracks positioned in corresponding meridian planes, and a ball cage which receives the balls in circumferentially distributed windows and holds same in a common plane and guides same on to the angle-bisecting plane when the joint is ariculated, with the center lines of the outer and inner ball tracks being composed of at least two differently curved portions adjoining one another, with the center lines of the ball tracks of the outer joint part each comprising convexly curved inner portions and, towards the open end, concavely curved end portions.

    摘要: Each pocket of a cage is composed of a pair of axial wall surfaces opposing each other along the axial line of the cage, a pair of circumferential wall surfaces opposing each other along the circumference direction of the cage, and radii linking the axial wall surfaces and circumferential wall surface. A ratio (R/d) of the radius of curvature R of the radii to the diameter d of the torque transmitting balls is set within a range 0.45 R/d 0.62. Also, the circumferential wall surfaces and radii are shaped along an arc having the radius of curvature R. Further, as to the axial wall surfaces, variance in the treatment margin is lessened by applying the grinding, hardened steel cutting, or the like after the heat treatment (carburized hardening and tempering) is applied to the cage.

    摘要: A constant velocity fixed joint comprising an outer joint part forming an annular member with a first longitudinal axis and comprising first ball tracks. The first ball tracks extend at a distance from the first longitudinal axis and each form a first angle of crossing therewith. The joint also includes an inner joint part forms a hub with a second longitudinal axis and comprising second ball tracks. The second ball tracks extend at a distance from the second longitudinal axis and each form a second angle of crossing therewith. The first ball tracks and the second ball tracks are circurnferentially distributed and associated with one another in pairs, with the first angles of crossing and the second angles of crossing of the pairs of ball tracks being identical in size and opening in opposite directions relative to the longitudinal axes. When the longitudinal axes coincide, the points of intersection of the pairs of ball tracks form a central joint plane. The joint also includes an annular ball cage arranged between the outer joint part and the inner joint part and comprising circumferentially distributed cage windows in which torque transmitting balls are held in a common plane. The outer joint part comprises two separate circumferential areas which are positioned on either side of the central joint plane and which are interrupted by the first ball tracks and which, as inner guiding faces, are simultaneously in guiding contact with an outer counter face of the ball cage.

    摘要: A constant velocity joint assembly comprises outer and inner joint members having engaging contact surfaces which support the joint for articulation about a common center point. The joint members have ball grooves which diverge inwardly of the joint and whose inner and outer ball groove surfaces are axially offset with respect to the center point for urging the balls axially inwardly. A ball retainer is provided within the outer joint member. The ball retainer is spring-biased into engagement with an end of the inner joint member and pivots about the center point of the joint to engage and hold the balls within the ball grooves, maintaining them in a common plane.

    摘要: The invention relates to a constant velocity joint having a plate-metal slotted, annular outer part 13 which comprises first outer running grooves 15 and second outer running grooves 17 extending in opposite directions and which is received in a receiving part 19. Furthermore, the constant velocity joint comprises an inner part 3 with first inner running grooves 6 and second inner running grooves 7. Between said outer part and inner part, there is arranged a cage 11 which serves to guide balls 28 which engage the respective running grooves. The outer part 13 which is divided and consists of segments is secured in the receiving part 19 in the axial direction and in the circumferential direction. The constant velocity joint in the above design is easy to produce from plate metal by simple tools.
