    摘要: An extruder driving apparatus is provided in which a speed change gear mechanism is disposed in a position allowing the speed change gear mechanism to rotate at a much lower rotational speed, whereby a noise level is reduced and a seizing trouble is more surely avoided. The extruder driving apparatus comprises a main motor; a planetary gear mechanism including a torque input portion driven by the main motor and outputting a driving force after reducing a rotational speed of the main motor; an output distributing gear mechanism for distributing a driving force from an output portion of the planetary gear mechanism to a plurality of rotor drive shafts arranged parallel to each other; coupling units for connecting one ends of the rotor drive shafts to a plurality of rotors disposed on the extruder side; and thrust bearings for supporting the other ends of the rotor drive shafts to bear thrust forces imposed from the rotors. A speed change gear mechanism for adjusting a rotational speed of each rotor drive shaft through replacement of one pair of gears by another pair having a different gear ratio is provided between the planetary gear mechanism and the output distributing gear mechanism.

    摘要: A continuously variable transmission has two planetary units organized about a common axis, with each unit including a sun member, a ring member, planet elements located between the sun and ring members, and carrier members providing axes about which the planet elements rotate. The two units are connected mechanically and through two variators, each of which preferably takes the form of a motor-generator. The arrangement creates two paths for transferring power from an input shaft to an output shaft—one path being a planetary path and the other a variator path. When power transfers through the variator path, one variator functions as a generator and the other as a motor. Between the two variators is a control unit which controls the amount of power transferred through the variator path.

    摘要: In a control system for a hybrid drive unit, in accordance with applied/released states of engagement elements, there can be set: a forward running range for a forward run by transmitting an input torque to an output member, a backward running range for a backward run by transmitting an input torque to the output member, and a stop range capable of driving one of the power sources by the other. The control system includes a range switching valve activated in response to the individual set ranges for switching and outputting an initial pressure for applying the engagement elements, to a plurality of passages, and adapted, when the stop range is set, to output the hydraulic pressure to the engagement element for establishing a torque transmission passage from one of the power sources to the other and to block the feed of the initial pressure to the engagement element for establishing, when applied, the torque at the output member.

    摘要: The differential engine comprises a motor, a torque conversion stage, and a loading mechanism. The torque conversion stage includes first and second differential stages which are coupled together with a pair of shafts, with the shafts rotating in opposite directions. The first differential stage comprises an input shaft which is coupled to the output shaft of the motor, and first and second output shafts which are coupled to the respective shafts. The second differential stage comprises an output coupled to the output drive shaft, and first and second input shafts which are coupled to the respective shafts. The second differential stage includes a gear mechanism which applies a rotational torque to the output drive shaft when a difference occurs between the rotational speeds for the shafts. The rotational speeds of the shafts are varied by loading one or both of the shafts.

    摘要: A range shift arrangement is disclosed for shifting a gear reduction unit between a low-range operating speed and a high-range operating speed, or any speed range in-between. This arrangement is particularly adapted for use in vehicle power transfer devices, such as four-wheel drive transfer cases, for allowing the operator to shift “on-the-move:” between a low-range drive mode and a high-range drive mode, or any range therebetween. In the preferred embodiment, the gear reduction unit includes a first component driven by the input shaft, a second component driving the output shaft, and a third component driven by a worm gearset. The worm gearset includes a worm gear fixed to the third component and a worm meshed with the worm gear. A variable speed motor is operable to drive the worm so as to vary the rotary speed of the third component, thereby varying the speed ratio between the input and output shafts.
