    Abstract: An oil control valve for a cam phaser of an internal combustion engine where the spool is positioned by an external actuator. The valve includes a spool assembly including a spool that is axially movable in a central opening, and there is at least one groove in the spool. The groove substantially increases fluid flow through the hydraulic valve when opened. By controlling the size and position of the groove, the amount of the fluid flow may be controlled. Further fluid flow control may be had by controlling the size of holes in the spool. The increase of fluid flow attributable to the groove may be at least 50%, 100% or even 200% compared with the at least one groove being absent.

    Abstract: A front pull piercing valve assembly attached to a flexible container, whereby; when the wall of the flexible container is pulled into contact with a piercing element in the assembly, the contents of the container are dispensed by piercing the wall of the container and liquid flows through the valve assembly and directly into a container or through flexible hose or another connection to be dispensed. The valve assembly is configured in such a manner that during use it is filed with the liquid being dispensed thereby preventing the liquid in the flexible container from being exposed to air, namely, oxygen that often causes spoilage of certain liquids, such as wine.

    Abstract: An embodiment includes a valve with a filter in which the flow of water through the valve is stopped by lowering a filter within the valve. This movement of the filter allows a poppet valve to close, stopping the flow of water. Subsequent raising of the filter holds the poppet valve in the open position, allowing the flow of water through the filter for further use. Embodiments are found in drinking fountains and facilitate the maintenance of the drinking fountain by allowing a technician to shut off the water using a screwdriver without requiring the removal of the fountain cover.

    Abstract: A pneumatic fender and a mouth piece metal for a pneumatic fender with an open/close valve fixed at a position in which a through hole formed in a dividing wall constituting a receiving chamber, where the valve is closed by closed position fixing members. A safety valve is isolated from a cavity of a fender bladder by a receiving chamber, the safety valve being able to be detached and attached while the pneumatic fender is in use. A confirmation test of a valve opening pressure of the safety valve is performed by opening a receiving chamber open/close valve and raising an internal pressure of a cavity of the receiving chamber to a pressure threshold via a receiving chamber communication passage. The open/close valve is fixed at a position in which the through hole is open by open position fixing member.
