    摘要: A modular valve assembly of this invention includes individual valve units and components, which can be selectively combined to form an integrated multi-port, multi-way valve assembly that is operated by a single common linear actuator is disclosed. The modular design of this invention is facilitated by the construction of valve housings and valve components of the individual valve units and assemblies of common plumbing pipes and fittings, such as, tee joints, threaded couplings, bushings and reducers. A single linear actuator, such as a conventional solenoid or piston cylinder mounted to the end of the valve housing, reciprocates an elongated shaft running axially through the valve interior to move various valve discs into and out of engagement with various internal valve seats, thereby controlling the valve assembly operation.

    摘要: A diverter valve for controlling a fluid flow without the sudden hammering pressure changes normally found in fluid control systems, and a method for assembling the valve. The valve includes a modular valve body with two substantially identical sections, each with a valve seat, oppositely arranged. The valve body also includes a T-shaped connecting section connected between the end openings of the two other sections. A valve stem shaft in the valve body has two valve plugs facing together, with the two valve seats between the valve plugs, so that each valve plug moves against the flow of the fluid to a closed position. A valve actuator shifts the valve stem shaft axially between first and second positions so that first one plug is closed, and then the other. The second valve plug is removably attached to the shaft by means of a hollow stem connected to the second valve plug preferably by means of threads. The hollow interior of this stem provides a channel for escape of any fluids leaking through the threaded connection so that such leakage can be detected.

    摘要: A valve made principally of plastic has a creep compensating features providing consistent engagement between valve members and their respective valve seats, minimizing creep, and compensating for any creep that does occur. The features compensate for compression of internal valve components as well as extension of the valve body. In a manually operated three way valve embodiment of the invention, a trapped spring mechanism inserted between an actuator portion and the upper valve member provides the closure force for the upper valve member on the upper valve seat. The first valve member and second valve member connect through a extensible portion. Valves according to the invention are particularly suitable for quarter-turn three-way manual diaphragm valves and for applications in the semiconductor industry.

    摘要: The application discloses a device for a container which includes a casing (1) which defines an inner space (2), which extends from the inner space and is connectable to a vacuum source in order to reduce the pressure in the inner space and the outlet space to be lower than the pressure of a surrounding space. The device includes a valve arrangement (8) with a valve seat (9), which forms a first passage (6) between the inner space and the outlet space, a valve element (10), which is abuttable against the valve seat for closing the first passage in the first position and is displaceable from the valve seat for opening the passage, and a spindle portion (11) which is connected to the valve element and extends through the valve seat, the outlet space and a second passage (12) through the casing. Means (18, 19) are arranged to form a flow passage, which in the first position of the valve arrangement permits a flow from the surrounding space to the inner space.
