摘要: A pressure-tight stein cylinder seal and a self-energizing stein shoulder seal matching the stein cylinder seal that both use an equilaterally triangular soft ring as their sealing element, wherein their designing rules are first, by means of wedging function of a hard gland coaxial with the stein cylinder, to convert their original axial tightening force 2f respectively into a radial compression force 4f/√3 of their soft ring 04 on the stein 02 cylinder and another radial compression force 2f of their soft ring 06 on the stein 02 shoulder and ensure that the two soft rings are so compressed from a great room to a small room as to be able to pass a pressure or stress exactly to each different direction, then to cut off their off-stein corners to give their cavities an opening or give each soft ring an axial compressing allowance, and last, by means of anti-extrusion metallic C-rings without axial resistance, to close each opening to provide a full support for the sealing deformation of their soft rings compressed in their cavities.

摘要: A piston for a pressure-reducing valve includes a tubular housing having an internal longitudinal bore extending from a first end to a second end. An exterior circumferential sealing disc sealing engages internal walls. The sealing disc has upper and lower faces generally perpendicular to a longitudinal axis. First fluid port(s) and second fluid port(s) extend through the tubular housing and into the longitudinal bore. A piston stem sealingly engages an internal surface of the longitudinal bore between the sealing disc and the second end to prevent the passage of fluid. The piston stem, together with a portion of the longitudinal bore, forms fluid passageway(s) that fluidly connect the first fluid port(s) with the second fluid port(s). The second fluid port(s) are inclined relative to the longitudinal axis and extend through at least a portion of the sealing disc, intersecting at least a portion of the upper face thereof.

摘要: A sensor configured to measure rate of flow of fugitive emissions on a flow control. The configurations may include devices that are sensitive to low flow or low pressure. These devices may include piezo-electric films or foams. These materials may deflect in response to flow of fluid along the outer surface of the reciprocating shaft. In one implementation, the embodiments can generate average leak rate over time and measure against regulation or specifications to ensure appropriate operation (e.g., leak suppression) of the flow control. Storing this data can provide a database of information that allows operators to benchmark performance of the flow control, for example, to correlate leaks to a certain date or time. This feature may, in turn, permit the operators to also correlate the device-specific performance to overall plant or network operations.

The dual pistons, in cooperation with the biasing member, allow the valve to self-seal thereby preventing entry of a fluid which is external to the valve.
