    摘要: A folding hanger includes a hook extending from an upper end of a hinge pin for suspending the pin. First and second hanger arms each have proximal and distal ends and define a support surface therebetween. Each proximal end has a stop. A knuckle having a hole extends from each proximal end. The pin passes through the holes along an axis, coupling the arms and hook whereby the arms are movable between extended and folded configurations. The stops abut when the arms are extended, and are separated when folded. The hanger has a center of gravity when the arms are extended and suspended by the hook such that the axis is angled relative to vertical in a first direction and the stops bias abutting. The arms each have a center of gravity such that angular movement of the axis past an unstable equilibrium causes the arms to move toward folded.

    摘要: An actuator includes a housing defining an inlet port, a piston and a return spring disposed within the housing, and an elastically deformable element. The return spring is configured to apply a biasing force to the piston to move the piston to a spring return position. A first fluid pressure applied to the inlet port moves the piston against the biasing force of the return spring to a first actuated position in which the piston indirectly engages a stop portion of the actuator housing. A second fluid pressure, greater than the first fluid pressure, applied to the inlet port moves the piston against the elastically deformable element to compress the elastically deformable element to move the piston to a second actuated position beyond the first actuated position.

    摘要: A fuel nozzle metering valve that includes a spool having an inlet port and an outlet flow port, and a retainer assembled to one end of the spool. A valve liner houses a portion of the spool. The spool is configured to move back and forth within the valve liner. The metering valve is biased in a closed position in which the outlet flow port is disposed entirely within the valve liner. The valve is opened when the spool slides within the valve liner such that some portion of the outlet flow port extends beyond an end of the valve liner. The retainer has a stepped portion configured to abut an end of the retainer at a fuel flow pressure below the expected maximum fuel flow pressure to be used in the fuel nozzle metering valve.

    摘要: A flow modification device connectable to a generally cylindrical element adapted for immersion in a fluid medium is provided. The device comprises an elongate body having a length and a generally circular cross-section; a plurality of raised body portions disposed about and extending along the length of the elongate body, the raised body portions having a height between 2% and 10% of a diameter of the body; and an aperture extending through the length of the elongate body, the aperture being adapted to receive the generally cylindrical element such that the flow modification device is arranged about the cylindrical element. The plurality of raised body portions are helically arranged or twisted about a longitudinal axis of the elongate body and are adapted to reduce vortex-induced vibration and/or drag on the cylindrical element when the device is connected to the cylindrical element and the connected device and cylindrical element are immersed in the fluid medium and there is relative movement between the connected device and cylindrical element and the fluid medium.

    摘要: A valve member is mounted on a shaft to pivot within a fluid passage. A control selectively moves a piston in a linear direction to control a position of the valve member in the fluid passage. The piston causes a roller pin to move as the piston moves linearly. The roller pin is mounted in crank collars of a crank shaft such that movement of the roller pin causes the crank collars to rotate crank shaft rotating position, and the valve shaft. The roller pin is mounted within the crank collars by bearings. The bearings each have an outer race associated with a crank collar, an inner race associated with the roller pin, and bearing members separate the inner and outer race. There is a spring bias resisting movement of the inner races relative to said roller pin. An anti-ice system is also disclosed.

    摘要: An improved gas vent having a body defining a float chamber. A float is positioned within the float chamber. The float chamber defines a passageway for gas to flow from an first port to an outflow port. A float is positioned within the float chamber. The float is configured to move toward a closed position as the fluid level within the float chamber increases. As the fluid level increases the float raises and seals against an interior of the gas vent, preventing further fluid flow through the vent. A shield is positioned between the float and the first port. The shield is configured to deflect gas flow around the shield and float to prevent the float from raising prematurely in response to high velocity gas flow on the float.
