摘要： A method for optimizing the operation of a gas generator having a housing part, at the upper end of which are elements for supplying fuel to a fuel compartment inside the housing part. The fuel descends by gravity onto a grate, a combustion zone being formed above the grate, with elements for supplying gasification gas thereto. The grate includes two concentrically arranged first and second grate parts, at least one of which grate part can be turned around an axis of rotation passing through a joint centre. The grate parts can be moved in the direction of the axis of rotation towards each other into their mutually interlocking position, and away from each other, into a position partly or completely out of the interlocking position. The grate parts move with respect to each other to regulate the flow of gases through the grate and/or the removal of ash.

The surface (53) includes a sealing portion (55) adjacent to the leg (52) and one or more discharge portions (56) sloped downwardly from the sealing portion (55) to one or more of the edges (52A, 52B, 52L), for discharge of wear materials therefrom. The sealing portion (55) is positioned proximate to a portion of the traveling grate (18) and defines a gap (G2) therebetween. The gap (G2) is configured to mitigate flow therethrough.

摘要： The removable fireplace cleanout facilitates the chore of cleaning ash and/or other residue from a fireplace. The cleanout device is a relatively wide, low pan or tray configured for placement within a fireplace hearth. Wheels and/or other rolling supports extend beneath the device to facilitate its installation in and removal from the fireplace hearth. One wall of the device includes a dump door, with the weighted door being held closed by gravity until the unit is tilted to dump ash and residue therein. Fillets may be provided to preclude trapping of ash in the corners of the device. An integral grate may be permanently installed atop the floor of the device, thereby precluding need for grate removal and soiling of the area where the grate is placed during conventional fireplace cleanout.

The tension on endless roller chain (36) is monitored by load cell (40) as indicative of the torque on the headshaft (21) and a standard process control signal is generated therefrom. The speed of variable speed drive (32) is varied as a function of the measured torque between a lower speed drive limit and an upper speed drive limit.

摘要： A stove for indoor use includes a housing having a bottom wall, a top wall and one or more side walls defining a combustion chamber adapted to retain a fire, and an air supply system for supplying air to the combustion chamber. The air supply system includes a primary air conduit for supplying air to the combustion chamber from below through the bottom wall and a secondary air conduit for supplying air to the combustion chamber from above. A valve is arranged in the primary air conduit or in a branching between the primary and secondary air conduits. The valve is controlled by a bimetal whereby the valve is in a maximum open position when the prevailing temperature is below a first predetermined temperature during start-up of a fire and in a maximum closed position when the prevailing temperature is above a second predetermined temperature after start-up of the fire.

Useful embodiments of the pad include a sealing pad for an ostomy appliance and a skin-covering pad incorporated in a bandage.
