    摘要: A coil-wound heat exchanger with mixed refrigerant shell side cooling that is adapted to reduce radial temperature maldistribution by providing tube sheets at one end of a warm bundle that are each connected to tube sheets in a single circumferential zone and are in fluid flow communication with a control valve. Tube sheets at the other end of the warm bundle are each connected to tube sheets in a single radial section and in multiple circumferential zones. A temperature sensor is provided in each circumferential zone. When a temperature difference is detected, one or more of the control valves is adjusted to reduce the temperature difference.

    摘要: A heat exchanging apparatus is adapted for differences in piping conditions at installation sites, reducing man-hours for manufacturing, management and installation for cost reduction. The heat exchanging apparatus includes a case open upward, a heat exchange unit housed in the case, and a storage tank arranged at an upper section of the case. A heat transfer medium inlet and a heat transfer medium outlet are open in the same direction at both ends of a heat transfer medium circulation pipe. A heat exchange fluid discharge port for discharging heat exchange fluid having dropped in the case is formed on one of side walls of the case either in the same direction as or in the opposite direction to the opening direction of the heat transfer medium inlet and the heat transfer medium outlet so that the heat exchange unit can be vertically taken in and out of the case.

    摘要: Systems and methods for energy storage and energy recovery are provided. An electrical-to-electrical energy storage system includes a thermochemical energy storage device, a blower, a compressor, a turbine, and an electrical generator. The TCES device includes a vessel, a porous bed, and a heater. The porous bed is disposed within an interior volume of the vessel. The porous bed comprises a reactive material. The reactive material is configured to release oxygen upon being heated to a reduction temperature, and generate heat when exposed to oxygen. The heater is in thermal contact with the reactive material. The blower is configured to remove oxygen from the interior volume. The compressor is configured to flow oxygen into the interior volume. The turbine is configured to receive a heated, oxygen-depleted gas from the interior volume. The generator is configured to be powered by the turbine to generate electricity.
