Abstract: An accessory mounting apparatus is provided for coupling to a vehicle roll bar. The accessory mounting apparatus illustratively includes a driver side clamping device configured to be secured to a driver side upright of the roll bar, and a passenger side clamping device configured to be secured to the passenger side upright of the roll bar. Protective sleeves cooperate with the clamping devices to protect the roll bar from damaging contact therewith. A laterally extending cross member extends between the driver side clamping device and the passenger side clamping device.

Abstract: In one aspect the invention features a weapon maintenance stand that includes a base plate, a support flange, and a wall structure. The support flange is spaced from the base plate and defines a first plurality holes extending through the support flange. A subset of the first plurality of holes are configured to match a pattern of bolt holes of a deck-mounted weapon system and at least one of the first plurality of holes is configured to receive an alignment structure of the deck-mounted weapon system. The wall structure is attached to the base plate at a first end and attached to the support flange at a second end. The wall structure defines at least one tunnel extending through the wall, with the at least one tunnel being sized to accept umbilical components of the deck-mounted weapons system.

Abstract: A gun in which the gun barrel (2) is seated to be axially displaced in a cradle barrel. To avoid a lifting effect of the gun barrel (2) upon firing, and omit the necessity of complicated guide grooves in the cradle barrel (3) and tabs on the gun barrel (2), an elastically deformable, first slide-bushing bearing (5) is provided at the muzzle end of the cradle barrel, and a second slide-bushing bearing (6) with a predetermined amount of fit play is provided at the breech-ring end of the cradle barrel 3. The barrel bushing (7) of the first slide-bushing bearing (5) has segment-like, outside recesses (16) between adjacent support ribs (14) on its outer surface, and segment-like, inside recesses (19) on its inner wall (17) opposite the support ribs (14), so that when the gun barrel (2) expands, the barrel bushing (7) deforms elastically such that regions of the barrel bushing (7) resting against the gun barrel (2) are arched outward into the outside recesses (16), and the regions of the barrel (2) that do not rest against the inner wall (17) can move into the inner recesses (19) of the barrel bushing (7).

Abstract: A quick release mounting system that utilizes two opposing plate assemblies configured for attachment. The two opposing plate assemblies are configured for attachment by a pair of spaced apart posts positioned in a male plate assembly connecting to a female plate assembly. The pair of spaced apart posts has an actuator mechanism positioned within the posts, and a series of ball bearing around a circumference of the posts. In a preferred embodiment the actuation mechanism is configured to bias the ball bearing out from the circumference of each of the posts, with the actuation mechanism configured to release the outer bias on the ball bearings. Alternatively, the actuation mechanism can be configured such that the actuation mechanism biases the ball bearings out when the mechanism is actuated by a user. The actuation mechanism can utilize a mechanical actuator, such as a rotary or linear actuator, or an electro-mechanical actuator, which utilizes a mechanical actuator that is actuated by an electrical device, such as a solenoid.

Abstract: In one aspect the invention features a weapon maintenance stand cover. The cover has a top cover plate, a wall structure, and a flange. The wall structure extends away from an outer edge of the top cover plate in a direction substantially perpendicular to a bottom surface of the top cover plate. The flange extends outward from a bottom edge of the wall structure and around a perimeter of the wall structure and is sized to mate with a support flange of a weapon maintenance stand. The flange defines a first plurality of holes extending therethrough, where the first plurality of holes are arranged in a spaced-apart pattern around the flange that aligns with a subset of a second plurality of holes arranged around the support flange of the weapon maintenance stand. First and second lifting structures are attached to the top cover plate.
