    摘要: An anti-ballistic barrier system with a plurality of support mounts and an anti-ballistic shield configured to extend across a targeted area. The plurality of support mounts is configured to couple the shield to a support structure adjacent the targeted area. A plurality of extendable connectors extends between the anti-ballistic shield and the plurality of support mounts. A polyester shield cover may extend over the anti-ballistic shield. The plurality of extendable connectors may be positioned at regular intervals around a perimeter of the shield and may be formed of a material having an elongation percentage property of at least 100%. The anti-ballistic shield may be movable between a retracted position in which a majority of the targeted area is exposed and an extended position in which the anti-ballistic shield extends across a majority of the targeted area.

A first desk tabletop includes a connection positioned on an underside of the first desk tabletop, that is configured for detachable coupling to a desk frame. Removal of the tabletop from the desk frame provides a shield. An interlocking element is positioned on one or more edges of the first desk tabletop. The interlocking element is configured to temporarily connect to an edge of a second desk tabletop. A temporary attachment of the first desk tabletop to the second desk tabletop forms a barricade system. In some embodiments, a computing device is integrated into the desk tabletop. A smart room environment may network the desk with integrated computing device to other computing devices in the room.

    摘要: A luminaire that can resist the shock associated with a ballistics event and continue to operate. The luminaire has a base formed from high ductility aluminum. An illumination source, such as a light emitting diode array, is secured to a support of the base. A lens having a gasket is positioned over the illumination source and secured thereto with a clamp. A ballistic shield having a dual gasket is coupled to the clamp by a bezel positioned over the ballistic shield and secured to the clamp. The gaskets extending around the peripheral edges of the lens and the shield cooperate with the highly ductile aluminum base to reduce the transmission of any shock associated with a ballistic event to the illumination source and associated electronics.

    摘要: A defense mobile device for securing a door during shelter-in-place situations. The device includes wheels rendering it mobile and stops that, when actuated, hold the device stationary. A panel has a ballistic core that resists bullets, a front face, an opening, and a cover positioned over the opening to overlay and enclose a door knob protruding through the opening. The front face forms, or has affixed to it, a writing surface. The panel pivots between a plurality of angled positions to facilitate writing and an upright position flat against the door. A locking rod, rotatably connected to the panel, pushes and pulls the panel between its angled positions and its upright position. A lever-locking mechanism or a twist-lock mechanism secures the device in place against or within a door frame and against the door.
