    摘要: A sensor arrangement for an active member, especially such as a landmine which is deployed against ground and airborne target objects, including a waking or proximity sensor which is responsive to the approach of a target object. A high degree in the precision of direction-finding, in addition to target classification; can be achieved by means of a larger passive bearing or direction-finding base, such as can be set up through the positioning of at least three microphones about the mine or at a certain distance from the mine. Hereby, such a passive acoustic direction-finding or bearing base evidences the advantage in contrast with essentially the active high-frequency direction-finding, in that the mine cannot be located from the target object and thus is able to remain in constant operation upon the activation of a waking or proximity sensor without any danger of the mine having its presence betrayed. For a remote distance resolution for a multiple target-recognition, there must be evaluated a larger passive measurement base, as a result of which this evaluation, for instance, is then operatively associated with the active sensor (radar).

    摘要: A method for activating a mine possessing a specified activation radius; in particular an anti-helicopter mine, which is brought into an alarm condition by acoustic signals. In the alarm condition of the mine, an NLOS-radar is activated, through which the target speed and the target range of a helicopter are detected and the result of the detection is compared with the specified activation radius of the mine. Full activation of the mine is then implemented when the detection result is smaller than the activation radius, or a further or renewed NLOS-radar detection is effected when the detection result is greater than the activation radius of the mine.

    摘要: An ignition device for mines, in particular training mines. The device includes a percussion bolt which is mechanically held in an inoperative position and is loaded by the action of a coil spring so that when released it is propelled axially towards a pyrophoric ignition charge to initiate an ignition chain.The ignition device is of simple and inexpensive construction and can be mechanically released by forces acting in a variety of directions. The device includes a cylindrical housing in which a percussion bolt and actuating lever are mounted one behind the other in axial alignment. A plurality of cup-shaped members, preferably a pair, are mounted in the housing so as to surround at least a portion of the actuating lever and percussion bolt. Upon actuation of the lever by applying a force thereto in a predetermined direction the cup-shaped members are spread apart against a biasing force to release the percussion bolt in the firing direction.

The land - mine of parent Specification 1,005,388 is modified by a cover member 3 having a spherical surface 51 with a centre of curvature which lies above the mine body, or in an upper part thereof, and which is supported by an annular member with an upper web 52a, having a conical surface supporting the surface 51 of the cover member, a cylindrical web 52c forming an axially directed guide, and a web 52b disposed between the webs 52a and 52c, and having a lower conical surface supported by a spherical surface 53 of an annular elastic buffer member 54, having a centre of curvature below the mine or in a lower part thereof. The web 52c is guided on a fuse receiver member 55 which is connected to the mine casing by rivets 56. The material of the spherical surfaces 51 and 53 is harder than that of the webs 52a and 52b, so that when the cover member is subjected to heavy loading its freedom of movement is ensured. The edge 52bk of the web 52b can abut an edge 52k of the member 55, and act as a shock absorber. A fuse is retained in the member 55 by springs 60. An arming device comprises lugs 67 which project above a cover 62 and entered from a rotatable ring 66 having recesses 68 into which pins 64 can move to release a slider 63 and allow it to be moved towards the fuse by a spring 69. An opening in the bottom of the casing 1 is closed by a metal cover 57. A heat fusible screw 58 is located in the side of the casing 1, together with an auxiliary detonator 59, so that the mine can be used for demolition work.

    摘要: A motion translating device for receiving a force input from one directionnd translating it mechanically by combined linear and rotational components into a resultant motion is a different direction. The apparatus consists of a slotted frame member having a base for mounting to another object such as an airborne weapon and a pair of separated, parallel and vertical walls extending upwards from the base. A slotted slide member is movably contained between the two walls so that when a generally horizontal force is applied to one end of that member by way of a cable connected between that other object and said one end of the slide member, the slide member is caused to move forward thru the frame member while simultaneously its opposite end is caused to rotate upwards away from the frame member. A device linked to that latter end will thus be lifted and simultaneously rotated so that its longitudinal axis initially normal to the longitudinal axis of the other object is finally parallel to that axis when the device is lifted out of its stored position within that other object.
