摘要: In an example method, a mobile device obtains sample data generated by one or more sensors over a period of time, where the one or more sensors are worn by a user. The mobile device determines that the user has fallen based on the sample data, and determines, based on the sample data, a severity of an injury suffered by the user. The mobile device generates one or more notifications based on the determination that the user has fallen and the determined severity of the injury.

The method also includes determining one or more motion parameters associated with the subject at least based on one or more sensors carried by the subject. The method further includes determining, based on the first location of the subject and the one or more motion parameters associated with the subject, a second location of the subject at a second time point after the first time point. The method still further includes adjusting, at least based on surroundings information associated with the subject at the second time point, the second location of the subject to determine a target location of the subject.

摘要: Visual-inertial odometry uses visual input from a camera and inertial motion measurements to track the motion of an object. This technique can be applied to surveying urban environments, such as a curb or streetscape, that are impractical to survey with a surveyor's wheel, GPS, or imagery from cars. Making visual-inertial odometry measurements of a curb with a handheld surveying device yields relative measurements from a starting point to an ending point on the curb. These relative measurements can be pinned to an absolute coordinate frame using measurements of gravity made while acquiring the visual-inertial odometry measurements and absolute measurements of the starting and ending points.

In some cases, driving patterns may be determined based on the acceleration data before and after stopping points during driving trips, and the driving patterns may be compared to a set of previously stored driving patterns associated with various different drivers.

摘要: An example calibration system may include a tractor and a calibration unit. The tractor may include a first sensor and a second sensor. The calibration unit may include a processing unit and a non-transitory computer-readable medium containing instructions to direct the processing unit to: (1) determine a first estimate for a tractor parameter based upon signals received from the first sensor; (2) determine a second estimate for the tractor parameter based upon signals received from the second sensor; (3) determine a third estimate for the tractor parameter based upon a combination of the first estimate and the second estimate; (4) determine a tractor parameter correction based upon the second estimate and the third estimate; and (4) apply the tractor parameter correction to the second sensor to control positioning of the tractor.

摘要: A system for monitoring and controlling shopping cart usage comprises a wheel assembly that attaches to a shopping cart. In some embodiments the wheel assembly includes a wheel, a brake that can be activated to inhibit rotation of the wheel, a controller that controls the brake, a VLF receiver, and an RF transceiver. The RF transceiver may, for example, operate in a 2.4 GHz frequency band. In some implementations, the RF transceiver may be used to detect entry of the shopping cart into a checkout area of the store, and the VLF receiver may be used to detect that the shopping cart is exiting the store. The controller may activate the brake if the shopping cart attempts to exit the store without first passing through a checkout area.
