摘要: A method is used to control a fuel level gauge of a vehicle system and includes: monitoring, via an engine controller, a fuel economy of the vehicle system; comparing, via the engine controller, the fuel economy with a predetermined fuel economy threshold to determine whether the fuel economy is less than the predetermined fuel economy threshold; adjusting, via the engine controller, a sensitivity of a display filter in response to determining that the fuel economy is less than the predetermined fuel economy threshold for a predetermined amount of time in order to maximize an accuracy of the fuel level gauge, wherein the display filter smoothes an unfiltered fuel level signal received from a fuel level sensor of the vehicle system, thereby generating a filtered fuel level signal; and controlling, via an instrument panel controller, the fuel level gauge of the vehicle system.

摘要: A method for improving fuel efficiency testing precision in on-road vehicles. The method comprises: installing one or more dataloggers in one or more vehicles, each datalogger configured to receive fuel consumption data broadcast by an on-road vehicle's engine control unit (ECU); transmitting the fuel consumption data from the one or more dataloggers in the one or more on-road vehicles to a processor; and analyzing, using the processor, the fuel consumption data from the one or more dataloggers in the one or more on-road vehicles to determine fuel efficiency of the one or more on-road vehicles. The fuel consumption data comprises fuel rate data from the ECU which is transmitted through the one or more dataloggers, engine speed and other operating parameters from the ECU that are transmitted through the one or more dataloggers, torque sensor data which is transmitted through the one or more dataloggers, and traditional fuel log data.

摘要: One way to improve fuel efficiency of a vehicle is to detect the vehicle operational shortcomings related to fuel consumption by determining whether fuel used during operation of the vehicle is normal fuel use or wasted fuel use. Considerations of idling, speeding and inappropriate gear shifts are some ways to measure the amount of fuel wasted due to operator shortcomings. Communicating this information to the operator in real-time so adjustments can be made will improve vehicle fuel efficiency. These techniques are applicable to tracking employment of other driving best practices as well.

摘要: The present disclosure provides systems and methods for determining or providing fuel information of a vehicle, such as predicting fuel intake and usage for the vehicle. A method for predicting a fueling event of a vehicle comprises using a mobile computing device carried in the vehicle to track the vehicle along a route. Multiple stop events may be detected when tracking the vehicle, and for each of the multiple stop events, each of duration and a geographic location may be determined. Next, a given stop event of the multiple stop events may be determined to be a fueling event based at least in part on a duration and geographic location of the given stop event.

摘要: Systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer program products are provided for determining carbon emissions of one or more vehicles. For instance, in one example embodiment, an apparatus may calculate miles traveled by the vehicles along a predefined route and may calculate a fuel usage of the vehicles for traveling along the route to obtain one or more fuel values. The apparatus may also analyze data indicating the miles traveled and the fuel values to determine fuel efficiency values corresponding to the vehicles traveling the route. The apparatus may also determine an estimate of an amount of carbon emissions for each of the vehicles based in part on applying at least one carbon emission value to respective fuel values associated with corresponding determined fuel efficiency values.

摘要: A system for calculating the operating distance range remaining for a vehicle. The system includes a driver input sensor for sensing predetermined vehicle operating condition data, an energy storage sensor for sensing energy storage capacity data of a corresponding energy supply mechanism, a controller in communication with the driver input sensor and the energy storage sensor. An executable range calculation software program is stored in the memory of the controller which uses sensed vehicle operating condition data from the driver input sensor and sensed energy storage capacity data from the energy storage sensor to determine range by determining a mean of energy storage capacity data, determining a slope of the energy storage capacity data, determining an intercept of the energy storage capacity data, and applying a least square linear regression to the determined mean, determined slope and determined intercept to find the remaining range.

摘要: A patch panel and a distribution module for mounting thereon has at least one aperture in the panel into which the module is fitted. The aperture has sloped latching surfaces on its upper and lower edges, and the front housing of the module has spring latches and latching tabs for mounting to the panel. A circuit board has spring blocks thereon, at least one of which engages a corresponding spring latch to prevent its becoming disengaged from the panel. A rear housing latches to the rear of the front housing to hold the circuit board in place therebetween. An identifying label holder is adapted to be affixed to the front of the front housing of the module.
