Abstract: A multi-optical axis sensor according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a light-transmitting unit comprising a plurality of light-transmitting elements; a light-receiving unit comprising a plurality of light-receiving elements which are arranged to respectively face the light-transmitting elements and respectively receive light from the light-transmitting elements; and an indicator light indicating a light incidence state or a light blockage state of the light-receiving unit, wherein, before a muting state that invalidates the detection function of the multi-optical axis sensor is detected, the light-transmitting unit or the light-receiving unit may operate the indicator light in a light incidence/blockage mode indicating the light incidence state or the light blockage state, and when the muting state is detected, the light-transmitting unit or the light-receiving unit may switch the operation mode of the indicator light from the light incidence/blockage mode to the muting mode indicating the muting state.

Robotic system detects location of UV emitter module amongst plurality of UV emitter modules and maneuvers to location of UV emitter module, mounts UV emitter module and maneuvers UV emitter module to charging dock for charging battery of UV emitter module. After charging, robotic system maneuvers UV emitter module to pre-defined area for disinfecting pre-defined area of closed environment. Robotic system includes battery charged through UV emitter module when UV emitter module is getting charged, or when UV emitter module mounted to robotic system includes battery that is fully charged.

Abstract: The present application discloses an apparatus and method configured to measure characteristics of high power beams of laser energy used in material processing. In one embodiment, the apparatus includes a housing having a first compartment and a second compartment separated from each other to reduce the transfer of thermal energy between them. Optical modules having optical sensors configured to measure characteristics of the high power beam are mounted in the first compartment. A removable and replaceable beam dump configured to absorb most of the high power beam is positioned in the second compartment. The removability/replaceability of the beam dump enables operation of the apparatus without active cooling of the beam dump assembly, simplifying the apparatus and protecting the optical sensors in the first compartment.

Abstract: A measurement system for measuring blood characteristics includes a controller, an emitter, a sensor, and a reference sensor. The emitter emits light at a plurality of wavelengths from a first side of a blood flow channel to a second side of the blood flow channel. The sensor is provided on the second side of the blood flow channel. The reference sensor is provided on the first side of the blood flow channel. The controller compensates measurements from the sensor based upon measurements from the reference sensor. The reference sensor may be disposed in a position to increase noise immunity of the measurement system. The measurement system may be connected to or part of a dialysis system.

Abstract: The present invention provides an ambient light sensor with ultraviolet light detection function, which is adopted to receive external light for sensing. The ambient light sensor comprises a visible light sensing chip and a wavelength conversion layer. The visible light sensing chip is used for sensing light corresponding to the response band of visible light, and the visible light sensing chip includes a light receiving surface. The wavelength conversion layer is used to convert light corresponding to a specific ultraviolet light band of the external light into light corresponding to a response band of visible light, and the wavelength conversion layer covers at least a part of the light receiving surface.

Abstract: Various implementations relate generally to multi-sensor devices. Some implementations more particularly relate to a multi-sensor device including a ring of radially-oriented photosensors. Abstract: A gas and vapor analyzer system and method of detecting a gas or vapor sample are provided. An FTIR spectroscopy system of an analyzer system comprises an interferometer adapted to modulate an excitation signal. A gas cell is adapted to receive the modulated excitation signal and focus the modulated excitation signal within the gas cell via an input lens. An off-axis multiple reflection geometry is adapted to receive the focused modulated excitation signal and pass the focused modulated excitation signal through a gas or vapor phase specimen via a plurality of beam paths skewed relative to a longitudinal axis of the cell to generate an optical sample signal. An exit lens is adapted to direct the optical sample signal from the gas cell to an IR radiation detector, and a controller is adapted to identify a detected gas and vapor sample based on the optical sample signal.
