Abstract:
A spherical object is positioned on a rotation stage, the rotation stage is rotated, and a deviation detector detects whether the spherical object deviates from the rotation stage or not. A rotation frequency of the rotation stage when the object deviates from the rotation stage is detected by a rotation frequency detector, and a judgement system judges whether the object is mass eccentric or not, comparing the detected rotation frequency with a predetermined rotation frequency which is set beforehand.

Abstract:
An unbalance measuring machine has an arrangement for clamping and release a motor vehicle wheel or other rotary member on a motor-driven shaft. The machine has a bar which is guided movably in the shaft in its axial direction. The bar is engaged at one end with the rotary member and at the other end with a belt pulley via interengaged screw threads. When the belt pulley is driven by the drive motor in one direction of rotation, the bar axially clamps the rotary member on the shaft to hold it fast. When the belt pulley is driven by the drive motor in the other direction, the bar moves in the opposite direction to release the rotary member.
Abstract:
A rotary element dynamic imbalance determining apparatus includes a spindle having a first end for removably supporting a rotary element the imbalance of which is to be determined, and a housing for rotatably mounting the spindle. An output signal related to imbalance in the supported rotary element is generated as the spindle rotates. A rotary fluid coupling comprises a chamber between the spindle and housing, a port in the housing for coupling the chamber to a source of compressed air and a one-way fluid seal for dividing the chamber into a first portion and a second portion. A passageway extends along the spindle from the second portion to the first end of the spindle to supply inflating air thereto.
Abstract:
An air-jet driven dynamic balance test apparatus for testing the dynamic balance of minrotors with minimum interference from external vibration noise. The dynamic balance test apparatus comprise a resilient supporting steel sheet having a horizontal bottom portion fastened to a base and an elongated upright body portion extended upwardly from the horizontal bottom portion to carry the sample to be tested. An air-jet generating device is provided to produce a continuous stream of compressed air for rotating the sample about its central axis. The resilient supporting steel sheet contains a resilient section for increasing sensitivity of said test apparatus. The resilient supporting steel sheet contains a resilient section, which can be the resilient steel sheet itself or in the form of a row of through holes or a corrugated section. A detector is mounted on the resilient supporting steel sheet to detect the vibration as the sample is being rotated during testing. An electromagnetic valve and a pressure regulating valve connected to an I/O interface of a master computer can be provided to automatically regulate the pressure of the continuous stream of the compressed air so as to control the revolving speed of the sample being tested at a predetermined constant rotation speed.
Abstract:
A method and a circuit arrangement for stopping the test run of a rotor being balanced, in particular a rotor for a motor vehicle wheel. Upon the application of an armature disk of an electromagnetic brake to a friction lining, the electromagnet coil of the brake is supplied with a reduced supply current, so that a reduced braking moment by comparison with the rated braking moment is attained.
Abstract:
A control arrangement for controlling the power supplied to an electric motor connected to a rotary member to drive same in rotation by way of a belt drive, to accelerate the rotary member to a given speed and to brake it in a slip-free manner provides that a signal which is proportional to the speed of rotation of the rotary member is compared to a signal which is proportional to the speed of rotation of the motor. The supply of power to the electric motor is correspondingly controlled in dependence on the result of the comparison operation.
Abstract:
A system for reducing undue vibrations transmitted to a vehicle by a tire assembly including a tire buffing or grinding machine, a tire balancing machine, and a mounting adapter for alternatively mounting the tire assembly on the tire buffing machine and the tire balancing machine. The tire buffing machine includes a drive unit for rotating the tire assembly about its rotational axis, a loading unit for radially loading the tire assembly, a buffing unit for selectively grinding away portions of the tire tread, and a control unit interconnecting the loading unit and the buffing unit to cause the buffing unit to reduce the loaded radial runout of the tire assembly.
Abstract:
Apparatus for balancing a rotor such as an automobile tire, having a locally fixed axle rigidly coupled with respect to a driving motor and a hub rotatably mounted about the fixed axle. The rotatable hub is driven by the motor and the rotor to be balanced is clamped to the hub by a flanged on clamp or a plate having one or more pins for engaging wheel spokes. Data receivers engage the locally fixed axle for producing signals which indicate rotor unbalance.
