Abstract: A sample preparation kit related to the present invention provides a significantly versatile analytical technique that is not affected by the diversity of antibodies, difference in species, matrix and the like. For preparing a sample to be used for detection of a monoclonal antibody through high-performance liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS), the kit includes a porous body for immobilizing a monoclonal antibody to be detected; nanoparticles with an immobilized protease; a reaction vessel for selectively digesting the monoclonal antibody by bringing the porous body and nanoparticles into contact; a buffer to be introduced into the reaction vessel along with the nanoparticles and porous body so that a protease reaction is carried out; and a filtration membrane to remove the porous body and nanoparticles after the proteolysis so as to extract the reaction product and the buffer.

Abstract: An apparatus used for analysis of a fluid-based system that includes a main chamber consisting of an optically transparent high strength material that ensures transmission of infrared and ultraviolet wavelengths and is capable of withstanding high pressures. The apparatus also includes first and second fluid tight endcaps attached to first and second ends of the main chamber, wherein the first endcap permits entry of a fluid into the main chamber and the second endcap permits the fluid to exit the main chamber. The apparatus further includes a fixed filter guide rail located inside the main chamber and attached to one of the end caps, and a filter located inside the main chamber and configured to removably attach to the fixed filter guide rail, wherein the filter is capable of capturing residue or contaminants in the fluid.

Abstract: A system and process may be used to test water samples to measure ATP and/or estimate a microbial population, for example using an adenosine triphosphate (ATP) based assay. The system includes a device that is use in combination with single-use or disposable cartridges. The cartridge receives the water sample and is pre-loaded with one or more reagents. The device receives the cartridge and contains physical, electronic and/or mechatronic devices that interact with cartridge. One or more actions such as metering, mixing and conveying are performed automatically by elements of the device and/or cartridge. A sensor in the device measures light produced in the cartridge from a reaction with ATP in the water sample. Optionally, the cartridge also contains a pre-loaded amount of ATP, which is used to provide an internal reference or calibration measurement.
