Abstract: The disclosed flow cytometer includes a wavelength division multiplexer (WDM). The WDM includes an extended light source providing light that forms an object, a collimating optical element that captures light from the extended light source and projects a magnified image of the object as a first light beam, and a first focusing optical element configured to focus the first light beam to a size smaller than the object of the extended light source to a first semiconductor detector. The disclosed flow cytometer further includes a composite microscope objective to direct light emitted by a particle in a flow channel in a viewing zone of the composite microscope to the extended light source, a fluidic system and a peristaltic pump configured to supply liquid sheath and liquid sample to the flow channel, and a laser diode system to illuminate the particle in the flow channel.

Abstract: A pico-droplet generator includes a light sensing structure, a mating structure that is spaced apart from the light sensing structure, a bonding layer that connects the light sensing structure and the mating structure, and a piezoelectric member that is disposed on the bonding layer. The pico-droplet generator defines a selection channel along a flowing direction. The bonding layer has a selection hole that is in spatial communication with the selection channel along a dripping direction perpendicular to the flowing direction. The piezoelectric member and the selection hole are respectively arranged on two opposite sides of the bonding layer. The pico-droplet generator has a pico-droplet emission region that is defined from the selection hole toward the piezoelectric member.

Abstract: A sensing method of bioparticle positioning includes the steps of: providing a carrier divided into multiple detection areas; adding bioparticle sample in the carrier, wherein the bioparticle sample includes first bioparticle with biomarker and interacts with corresponding tag; providing excitation energy that makes the tag on the first bioparticle emit radioactive energy; moving the first sensor to the detection area respectively; after receiving radioactive energy, defining the detection area where the radioactive energy comes from as activity detection area, and sending location information of the activity detection area to processing module; according to location information, moving second sensor to detection area, detecting the accurate location of the first bioparticle in activity detection area, and sending the accurate location to processing module. A bioparticle positioning sensing system is also provided herein. The method and system above detect specific bioparticle quickly and improve the detection efficiency.

Abstract: An isolated cell membrane potential detection system can measure a cell membrane current change when light having different parameters such as wavelength, energy density, pulse width, and repetition rate stimulates a cell to be detected, to detect whether the biological electrical activity of the cell can be regulated by light, and to detect the specificity of the light regulation parameters of the cell. In the light regulation cell membrane potential detection system, a method of progressively adjusting and detecting with multiple optical parameters from small to large is used to measure a cell membrane current change in different periods under a certain photostimulation parameter for each group of cells, so as to quickly and efficiently detect which type of optical signal can regulate the characteristics of the cell such as the generation of a membrane current, photostimulation parameter specificity, and an energy threshold.
