摘要: The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for inspecting, as they pass, eggs placed in containers. According to the invention, during the movement of these containers (1) along a conveyor line, the following steps are carried out:

triggering a data acquisition cycle on each passage of a downstream end of a container (1) through a first position, which is determined by a first position sensor (6) placed along said conveyor line, upstream and downstream positions being considered with reference to the direction of movement of the containers; then
for a data acquisition cycle of a container (1), detecting the passage of said downstream end of said container (1) through at least a second position determined by a second position sensor (7-8) placed along said conveyor line, a signal triggering thermal image acquisition being sent to a thermal camera (5) each time said downstream end of said container (1) is detected at at least a second position in order to trigger capture of one or more thermal images by said thermal camera (5) of the portion of the container (1) then placed in its field of view,
said second position sensors (7-8) being arranged with respect to one other to ensure an inspection of all of the eggs of the container (1) considered by said thermal camera (5) when a plurality of second sensors are employed.

Furthermore, the data acquisition cycle of said container comprises performing, in a third position separate from said first and second positions, a step of candling the eggs placed in said container, in which step a light flux is emitted in the direction of at least one egg to be candled and the light flux passed through each corresponding egg is then analysed depending on the level of light flux absorbed by the egg, and

said data thus acquired on the eggs of a container (1) are associated with a unique identifier of this container (1).

摘要: Method for processing a plurality of avian eggs, in particular unfertilized eggs, including:—conveying at least a first egg (E1) having a first eggshell color and a second egg (E2) having a second egg shell color along a conveying path, the first egg shell color being different from the second egg shell color;—illuminating the first egg (E1) with an illumination beam (B) of near infrared light, wherein at least part of the light is transmitted through the egg (E1) and is detected by a near infrared light detector (5);—illuminating the second egg (E2) with the illumination beam (B) of near infrared light, wherein at least part of the light is transmitted through the egg (E2) and is detected by the near infrared light detector (5); processing light detection results of the infrared light detector (5) for determining a condition of the shell of each of the eggs (E1, E2); wherein the illuminating of the eggs (E1, E2) and/or the detection of transmitted light is carried out under substantially the same illumination and/or detection conditions, respectively.

摘要: An egg-examining device, comprising a sampling device, by which a liquid sample to be taken can be taken from an egg of a rack loaded with eggs, a feeding device for feeding the rack loaded with eggs to the sampling device, and a control unit, by which the feeding device and the sampling device can be controlled. The feeding device feeds the rack to the sampling device at an oblique angle of between 20° and 80° to a plane perpendicular to the direction of gravity. A lifting-out device is provided, by which the egg can be lifted out of the rack and by which the egg can be put into a sampling position, in which the liquid amount to be taken can be taken from the egg by the sampling device.

摘要: A system for determining the gender and/or fertility status of avian eggs including a sampling apparatus and an electromagnetic radiation transmitter and detector. In certain embodiments, the transmitter operates in the terahertz range. The sampling apparatus can be coupled to an avian egg. The sampling apparatus includes a vacuum source, a gas collection device, and a membrane that can be positioned in the passageway coupling the vacuum source to the gas collection device. The membrane is capable of capturing volatile organic compounds. The sampling apparatus applies a vacuum from the vacuum source to the gas proximate to the avian egg and directs the gas captured from the vicinity of the egg toward the membrane. Subsequently, the membrane is positioned within the electromagnetic radiation emitted by the transmitter, generating a spectrum which can be analyzed to determine whether the egg is fertile or infertile, and if fertile, whether the egg is male or female. In an embodiment, the captured volatile organic compounds are transferred to a sample chamber where the captured gas is analyzed.

摘要: The present invention relates to a method for spectroscopical in-ovo gender determination of fertilized and incubated bird eggs comprising the steps of:
    a. providing a number of passages in an egg shell of an egg for allowing entrance into an interior of the egg and/or exit from the interior of the egg of electromagnetic waves suitable for spectroscopy, b. introducing electromagnetic waves into the interior of the egg c. detecting electromagnetic waves exiting the egg; d. analysing, by spectroscopy, of the exiting electromagnetic waves at at least one passage of the number of passages; and e. determining the gender of a chicken embryo.

摘要: The present invention relates to a method for the in-ovo sex identification of chicks, comprising the following steps: extracting a sample solution of allantoic fluid from an egg; uniting the sample solution extracted from the egg with an oestrone-derivative-specific antibody and a conjugate solution with a conjugate binding to the antibody; and identifying the oestrone derivative concentration of the extracted allantoic fluid by means of the conjugate bound to the antibody. In order to accelerate the identification of the oestrone derivative concentration the oestrone-derivative-specific antibody is surface-bound.
