Abstract: A fracturing effect determination method for phase transition fracturing deep rock, comprising: obtaining initial data of a true triaxial rock of a fracture hole; fracturing true triaxial rock and obtaining acoustic emission information in the fracturing process; obtaining test data of the true triaxial rock after fracturing; inputting initial data and test data into a preset formula to generate test data; determining quantitative data of fracturing according to acoustic emission information and test data and determining the fracturing effect of true triaxial rock according to the quantitative data of fracturing. The method is implemented using a device comprising a carbon dioxide fracturing device, a true triaxial loading device, a fracturing starter, a storage tank, and a liquid filling device. The device is configured to achieve the quantitative optimization effect of the technical parameters required for the prevention and control measures of energy release in deep engineering rock mass

Abstract: Provided herein are methods for identifying a region of a geologic area comprising a fault or other feature associated with a pressure loss. Such methods can comprise (1) subjecting rock samples from separated sites in an area to condition(s) that can cause the release of carbon dioxide (CO2), one or more volatile carbon dioxide-related, or both, if present, while not causing the release of a significant amount of CO2 or the one or more CO2-related compounds associated with the crystalline structure of the material, (2) measuring the amount of CO2, the one or more related compounds, or both, and (3) identifying regions in the geologic area associated with a relatively low CO2, related compounds, or both, or similar or alternative methods involving the analysis of such compositions associated with materials provided here.

Abstract: A system for determining residue coverage of a field includes a LiDAR sensor configured to emit light-based output signals for reflection off of a field surface of a portion of a field and detect reflections of the light-based output signals as return signals. Furthermore, the system includes a soil moisture sensor configured to generate soil moisture sensor data indicative of a soil moisture content of the portion of the field. Additionally, a computing system is configured to receive LiDAR sensor data associated with the return signals detected by the LiDAR sensor. Moreover, the computing system is configured to determine a soil moisture value for the portion of the field based on the soil moisture sensor data. In addition, the computing system is configured to determine a residue coverage value of the portion of the field based on the determined soil moisture value and the LiDAR sensor data.

Abstract: Disclosed is a rapid load test method for a pile by use of a method resulting from extending a well-known SULP method, wherein a rapid load test is implemented on a pile head more than once in the manner of changing a drop height h of a weight, with the pile instrumented with strain gages and accelerometers at more than one depth level, followed by the processing of obtaining a rapid load Frapid-pile displacement w relation for each pile segment for each time of the rapid load test using measurement data measured by the strain gages and the accelerometers, of obtaining a soil resistance Rsoil-pile displacement w relation on each pile segment for each time of the rapid load test, of calculating an unloading point that can be a point of maximum displacement of the pile, together with an unloading point load RULP at that moment, and of obtaining a static soil resistance Rw-pile displacement w relation on each pile segment by use of an Unloading Point Connection method using the calculated unloading point and unloading point load RULP for each time of the rapid load test. Accordingly, an analysis on a load-displacement relation is performed by use of a load transfer method with respect to the whole pile, using a nonlinear model of the thus obtained soil resistance on each pile segment.

Abstract: In a method for discriminating deposit types by using tourmaline elemental components, contents of Sn, Li, Ga, and V trace elements are determined by collecting hydrothermal tourmaline samples in a deposit, and deposit type discrimination is performed with F1, F2, and F3 as discriminant factors, in combination with the characteristics that a porphyry type Cu—Mo—Au deposit has lower contents of Sn+Li, and further, a porphyry type Cu—Mo deposit has higher contents of Ga*V, while a porphyry type Au deposit has relatively low contents of Ga*V; a granite-related Sn—W deposit has relatively high contents of Sn+Li; while an IOCG deposit has relatively high contents of Sn+Li and Ga*V, realizing quick discrimination of the deposit types during prospecting and exploration, shortening the exploration period and reducing the exploration cost, and the method can be used for identification of 4 different types of deposits.
