    摘要: An electric motor assembly is configured to determine a motor winding resistance value. Predicted values are determined for a first and second position of motor commutator sections relative to the motor brushes, with at least one of the brushes contacting different numbers of the sections in the first position and the second position. The predicted values are based on a temperature value measured by the temperature sensor and a predetermined dependence of variation of the motor resistance dependent on the temperature value. An electric motor current value is measured by a current sensor when the electric motor is substantially at standstill. A selection is made between different factors for determining the motor resistance value using the electric current value, dependent on which of the predicted values most closely corresponds to the electric current value. The motor resistance is determined using said electric current value according to the selected factor.

    摘要: A steering and suspension assembly for the rear wheels of an off-road vehicle includes: a) a first suspension component; b) a first steering component; c) a CV axle; d) a portal box assembly; e) a hydraulic steering assembly for moving the first steering component a distance effective to turn the vehicle at least 2° in either direction when the assembly is mounted to a wheel hub; f) a first suspension connection bracket for connecting the first suspension component to the rear wall of the portal box assembly; and g) a first steering connection bracket for connecting the first steering component to the rear wall of the portal box assembly. The portal box assembly includes: i) a housing having a rear wall, a front wall, and a side wall, wherein the rear wall includes a vehicle axle opening effective to receive the end of said CV axle, and wherein the front wall includes an output shaft opening effective to allow an output shaft to extend outward from the housing; ii) a linking mechanism housed in the housing and effective for linking a CV axle received in the vehicle axle opening to an output shaft; and iii) an output shaft operably connectable via the linking mechanism to the CV axle, and effective to rotate upon rotation of the stock axle.

    摘要: A system for monitoring the axial position of a rotating shaft includes a phonic wheel mounted coaxially to the shaft for rotation with a circumferential row of teeth. The system includes a sensor configured to detect the passage of the teeth by generating an alternating measurement signal. First and second portions of the teeth alternate around the row and contribute respective first and second components to the alternating measurement signal. The first portion of teeth vary in height in an axial direction of the wheel such that the relative height of the first and second portions varies with axial distance across the phonic wheel, and the sensor is positioned relative to the phonic wheel such that axial displacement of the shaft causes the signal to vary the first component's amplitude relative to the second component's amplitude due to the height variation, to monitor the axial position of the shaft.

    摘要: Apparatus and associated methods relate to health-monitoring of a magnetic speed probe. An inductive coil of the magnetic speed probe is used for two purposes: i) to sense a changing magnetic field caused by rotation of a rotating member; and ii) to radiatively transmit radio-frequency signals for determining the health of the magnetic speed probe. A signal generator coupled to the inductive coil of the magnetic speed probe generates the radio-frequency signals that, when conducted by the inductive coil, causes an inductive coil to act as a radio transmitter by radiatively transmitting the radio-frequency signals. The radio-frequency signals transmitted by the inductive coil are detected by a radio receiver. The radio-frequency signals received are indicative of health of the magnetic speed probe.

    摘要: An angular velocity sensor includes an angular velocity sensor element, a drive circuit, a detection circuit, and a reference potential supply circuit. The angular velocity sensor element has a monitor electrode, a drive electrode, a sense electrode, and a weight. The reference potential supply circuit supplies a reference potential to the angular velocity sensor element. The reference potential supply circuit has a first CV converter, a second CV converter, a comparator, and a reference potential adjustment circuit. The first CV converter is connected to the monitor electrode. The second CV converter is connected to the sense electrode. The comparator compares a frequency of a signal being output from the first CV converter with a frequency of a signal being output from the second CV converter, and outputs a signal depending on a result of the comparison.
