    Abstract: A transmitting array antenna includes a second antenna group placed in a position inside a first antenna group in a first direction and a position different from the first antenna group in a second direction. A receiving array antenna includes a fourth antenna placed in a position outside a third antenna group arranged in the first direction and a position different from the third antenna group in the second direction. An interelement spacing between a receiving antenna of the third antenna group located at an end on a second side is identical to an interelement spacing in the first direction between a transmitting antenna of the first antenna group on the first side and each of the second antenna group. In a case where the first antenna group and the third antenna group are identical in position in the second direction, positions of antennas are different.

    Abstract: A radar transmitter transmits a radar signal through a transmitting array antenna at a predetermined transmission period, and a radar receiver receives a reflected wave signal which is the radar signal reflected by a target through a receiving array antenna. A transmitting array antenna and a receiving array antenna each include multiple subarray elements, the subarray elements in the transmitting array antenna and the receiving array antenna are linearly arranged in a first direction, each subarray element includes multiple antenna elements, the subarray element has a dimension larger than a predetermined antenna element spacing in the first direction, and an absolute value of a difference between a subarray element spacing of the transmitting array antenna and a subarray element spacing of the receiving array antenna is equal to the predetermined antenna element spacing.

    Abstract: A positioning method and a multi-radar positioning system are provided. In the positioning method, a first object and a second object are detected by a first radar to obtain a first coordinate and a second coordinate on a first coordinate system respectively. The first object and the second object are detected by a second radar to obtain a third coordinate and a fourth coordinate on a second coordinate system respectively. A first candidate coordinate and a second candidate coordinate of the second radar on the first coordinate system are estimated according to the third coordinate and the fourth coordinate. The first candidate coordinate is selected from the first candidate coordinate and the second candidate coordinate as a first radar coordinate of the second radar according to the first coordinate and the second coordinate. The first radar coordinate is output.

The system comprises transmission channels (Ve1, VeM), reception channels (Vr1, VrN), and co-located radiating elements (ERe1, EReM, ERr1, ERrN) forming a two-dimensional antenna array. Each radiating element (ERe1, EReM, ERr1, ERrN) has a predefined instantaneous field of coverage. Each radiating element is formed by a plurality of p radiating sub-elements (SeElt1, SsEltp) distributed in at least one of the two dimensions of the antenna array. The radar comprises a plurality of electronic steering modules (MDe1, . . . , MDrN). Each electronic steering module is connected to one radiating element. Each steering module is configured to apply a steering command (Cmd) between all the radiating sub-elements (SeElt1, SsEltp) of a given radiating element. The steering command (Cmd) is identical from one radiating element to the next, so as to move the field of coverage of each radiating element in the same direction.

    Abstract: An electronic device may include wireless circuitry having a set of two or more antennas coupled to voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR) sensors. The VSWR sensors may gather VSWR measurements from radio-frequency signals transmitted using the set of antennas. The antennas may be disposed on one or more substrates and/or may be formed from conductive portions of a housing. Control circuitry may process the VSWR measurements to identify the ranges between each of the antennas in the set of antennas and an external object. The control circuitry may process the ranges to identify an angular location of the external object with respect to the device. The control circuitry may adjust subsequent communications based, adjust the direction of a signal beam produced by a phased antenna array, identify a user input, or perform any other desired operations based on the angular location.

    Abstract: A MIMO radar sensor including an array of transmitting antenna elements and receiving antenna elements that are offset relative to one another in a predefined direction, and including at least two electronic chips that are associated with different selections of the transmitting antenna elements and receiving antenna elements.
