The optical support is made of a material having an optomechanical coefficient of thermal expansion, wherein the optical coefficient of thermal expansion and the optomechanical coefficient of thermal expansion are selected such that the optical component and the optomechanical component expand or contract as a single entity under varying temperatures.

摘要: A dynamic concentrator system having a concentrator lens, a tracker platform and a receiver. In an embodiment, the concentrator lens is configured to receive an incoming light at an entrance angle α and concentrate the light beam on a focus spot. The tracker platform has a detector optical aperture and one or more actuators. The detector optical aperture can be configured to receive the concentrated light beam. The actuators can move the detector optical aperture in a spatial plane to a location of the focus spot. The receiver has a detector optically coupled to the detector optical aperture to receive the concentrated light beam from the detector optical aperture.

摘要: An illumination device for illuminating a spatial light modulator device. Sub-holograms are used for encoding a hologram into the spatial light modulator device. The Illumination device includes at least one light source for emitting light for illuminating the spatial light modulator device and a beam shaping unit. The beam shaping unit provides a flat-top plateau-type distribution of an absolute value of a complex degree of mutual coherence of the light in a plane of the spatial light modulator device to be illuminated. The flat-top plateau-type distribution of the absolute value of the complex degree of mutual coherence has a shape that is at least similar to a shape of the largest sub-hologram used for encoding of object points into the spatial light modulator device.

摘要: A multi-spot ophthalmic laser device that produces spatially distributed laser spots with the spatial distribution of the laser spots defined by a spot diameter to space ratio in the range 1:2 to 1:20. The multi-spot ophthalmic laser device comprises: a laser module producing a laser pulse or sequence of laser pulses each having: a pulse duration in the range of 10 ps to 20 μs; a wavelength in the range 500 nm to 900 nm; and a pulse energy in the range 10 μJ to 10 mJ per pulse; and an optical beam profiling module that modifies an output beam profile of each pulse of the laser module to deliver multiple spatially distributed laser spots of defined size and energy. The multi-spot ophthalmic laser device is used in a method of improving the function of the retina of a human eye by irradiation through the cornea of the eye to the retinal pigmented epithelium by a treatment laser having a beam profile with spatially distributed energy peaks.
