    摘要: Eyewear can include lenses having perimeters that are customized for an intended wearer. The perimeter of the lenses can be determined based on anatomical features of the wearer's face, field of vision, or other parameters specific to that individual. A provisional lens perimeter obtained may be modified in curvature and/or size to arrive at a desired final lens perimeter, based for example on stylistic preferences or to accommodate external elements affecting the perimeter and/or curvature of the lens. Customized lenses can be fabricated based on the determined lens perimeters. The customized lenses can be assembled into completed eyewear that is customized for a wearer, for example having shapes, sizes, and designs not otherwise possible.

The ophthalmic lens includes a first optical surface, an opposing second optical surface and an edge surface connecting the first optical surface and the second optical surface, wherein the edge surface is planar.     摘要: An apparatus and a method for optical measurement of an internal contour of a spectacle frame are disclosed. The apparatus contains an optical unit, which is configured to capture light reflected from an illuminated section of the inner contour of the spectacle frame. The optical unit is insertable into the inner contour of the spectacle frame and, when inserted as intended, is rotatable relative to the spectacle frame. The optical unit contains at least one light source, an objective, and at least one optical sensor, wherein the light source is configured to generate a light section, wherein at least one section of the inner contour is illuminable by the light section, wherein the objective is configured to image the illuminated section of the inner contour onto the optical sensor, and wherein the optical sensor is configured to capture the light reflected by the illuminated section of the inner contour.

    摘要: A lens holder for eyeglass frames having a pliable body with a lens opening for engagement of a lens therein and a circumferential edges configured to engage with a lens aperture of an eyewear frame to hold the lens operatively positioned therein. A front surface portion extending from the pliable body contacts a front surface of the eyeglass frame and is formed with a width narrower than a rear surface portion extending from the pliable body which contacts a rear facing surface of the eyewear frame. The shorter front surface deforms under the force of a projectile contacting an engaged lens within the lens holder and dissipates the force to help maintain the lens mounted within the lens opening and prevent dismounts the full force causes when not dissipated.
