In the display panel, the display substrate includes a first substrate and a plurality of sub-pixels; each sub-pixel has a first opening allowing for exiting of light for generating a display image; the light control panel is stacked on the display substrate and includes a plurality of sub-light control units; each sub-light control unit has a second opening; the plurality of sub-light control units are in one-to-one correspondence with the plurality of sub-pixels; the light exit from the first openings pass through the second openings of the sub-light control units and then exit from the display panel; the sub-light control units are configured to modulate light exit from the first openings; and the orthographic projection of the second opening of each sub-light control unit substantially coincides the orthographic projection of the first opening of the corresponding sub-pixel.
