The substrate includes a plurality of array cells each including a display area, a non-display area surrounding the display area, and a pad area adjacent to first and second sides of the non-display area. The substrate further includes a plurality of test pads outside the plurality of array cells and a plurality of test lines each connecting a corresponding one of the array cells with a corresponding one of the test pads. Here, each one of the test lines partially pass through the non-display area of an array cell adjacent to the corresponding one of the array cells.

    摘要: There are provided a liquid-crystal-panel driver IC package which can be mounted compactly on a liquid crystal panel without using any fixing jigs, as well as a liquid crystal panel module which can be downsized by reducing its picture-frame size. First, second glass substrates 31, 32 are laminated together with a specified spacing so as to seal liquid crystals therebetween, and to form a step region A. A plurality of liquid-crystal-panel driver IC TCPs each of which is bent at a bending slit and folded are continuously disposed so as to be arrayed along the step region A. Output leads of the liquid-crystal-panel driver IC TCPs are electrically connected to liquid-crystal driving wiring 35 provided in the step region A of the first, second glass substrates 31, 32. Then, input-lead side connecting slits of mutually adjoining liquid-crystal-panel driver IC TCPs are superimposed on each other, so that the input leads are electrically connected to each other by soldering or the like at the connecting slits.

    摘要: The present invention provides an LCD apparatus and a method for checking the joining accuracy thereof. The LCD apparatus comprises an LCD panel, a printed circuit board and a package unit coupled to the LCD panel. On the printed circuit board, there is a plurality of first pins, a first check pad and a second pad, wherein at least one first pin is electrically connected to the first check pad and at least another first pin is electrically connected to the second check pad. There is a plurality of second pins on the package unit, wherein the second pins join the first pins on the printed circuit board correspondingly to connect the first pins electrically. To check the joining accuracy of the LCD apparatus, electric resistance is obtained by measuring the resistance between the first and second check pad with an ohmmeter. When the measured resistance is below a reference value, the assembly quality of the LCD is not qualified.

Further, the gate wiring pattern which is constituted of the gate lines GL1, GL2 and the gate-line pull-around lines GLL1, GLL2 and the storage wiring pattern which is constituted of the storage lines STL and the common lines B2, B3 do not cross each other.

    摘要: A pixel electrode is located in a pixel area defined by the intersections of the two adjacent gate lines and the two adjacent data lines, and has two linear openings extending in the transverse direction, which divide the pixel electrodes into three rectangular portions arranged in the longitudinal direction. The portions are connected in turn, and each portion of the pixel electrode has an X-shaped projection formed by the X-shaped member thereunder, and portions of the gate insulating film and the passivation film on the member. Since the gate insulating film and the passivation film are also located on the gate lines and the data lines, and the layered structure on the wires acts as peripheral projections of the pixel electrode. Each area enclosed by the projections, the openings and the peripheral projections is in a shape of equilateral trapezoid. The areas may be defined as the areas where the pixel electrode is in direct contact with the substrate. That is, each area has a planar shape of triangle, of which corner at the center of X-shape is chamfered. This structure causes a splay arrangement or a bend arrangement of the liquid crystal molecules in each domain, which is defined as a portion of the liquid crystal layer over each divided area, to be reinforced to improve the response time.
