摘要: A method and a device are described for producing copies/replica of a volume reflection hologram wherein a holographic film (4) is guided over a drum with polygon cross-section having at least two planar (polygon) master surfaces (3) to each of which at least one master (7) is attached in the circumferential direction, where the film is brought into contact with at least one master hologram (7) and its entire surface is exposed to laser. It is essential that to at least one of the master surfaces (5) with the film guided over it, a laser exposure unit (22) is assigned which allows full exposure of the respective master surface to parallel, coherent laser beams (6), and that the at least one exposure unit (22) follows section wise the rotational movement of the drum by a splitting angle with equal velocity and exposes the corresponding master surface (5) to then be reset quickly again and perform the same angular displacement and exposure together with the next master surface. In this manner, a highly productive multiplication even of large reflection holograms in high quality is possible.

摘要: An apparatus and method of using same for exposing successive sections of opposite sides of a web of material to actinic radiation in patterns on each section of the opposite sides of the web is provided. The apparatus includes a first station having mechanisms to locate and expose selected sections on the first side of the web to actinic radiation in a first pattern, and a second station spaced from the first station having mechanisms to locate and expose selected sections on the second side of said web to actinic radiation. The first and second stations include first and second pattern masters and first and second mountings for the masters, and first and second sources of actinic radiation to project the desired patterns of exposure from each of the masters to each of the sections on the first and second sides of the web in very close registration or alignment thereof. Each of the stations includes a web locating device to locate the web and the master with respect to each other at each station, and each of said stations includes a mechanism to selectively maintain the master and web in a located position contacting each other during exposure, and a web transfer mechanism to periodically transport the sections to and from the stations. The invention also includes a program which uses fiducial marks on the masters and alignment devices on the web to provide a best fit of the master with the web at each location.

摘要: A transfer arm assembly for transferring an exposed lithographic plate from a film negative drawer to a delivery belt system for delivering the plate to a photoprocessor which develops the plate is provided. The transfer arm assembly includes vacuum arms which contact the upper and non-emulsion side of the plate when the plate lies flat on the film negative drawer (or vacuum frame) and deliver the plate in an inverted position on top of the belts in a plane parallel to, but above the plane of the plate on the film negative drawer. A latchable arm is provided in the transfer arm system to enable pivoting of the arm about a first axis for a first portion of its rotation, and then about a second axis for a second portion of its rotation to enable the arms and plate carried thereby to be inverted from a first plane to a second parallel, but spaced plane.

摘要: A duplicator for making copies of a microfiche master. The master is positioned at a transfer station and a copy film is stored on a supply roll and incrementally advanced to the transfer station by a film drive disposed upstream of the transfer station so that fresh copy film is pushed downstream into registration with the master. Pressurized air supply conduits are disposed between the film drive and the transfer station and are activated so that the copy film moves downstream on an air cushion to minimize copy film drag and sticking. A film cutter is disposed immediately downstream of the transfer station in substantial registration with a downstream edge of the master to eliminate copy film waste. Exposed copy film is transported past a developing station and a curing station to a copy film discharge station. A first light source at the transfer station exposes the copy film and comprises an elongate, pulsed gas discharge lamp, such as a Xenon lamp which is surrounded by a coaxial, light transmissive flow tube having spaced apart intake and outlet conduits which are serially connected to a fluid circuit in which an electrically conductive, infrared absorbing liquid flows. A second light source is disposed at the curing station for curing the developed images on the copy film. Electric circuitry employs a single power source for alternatingly pulsing the two light sources.

摘要: Method and apparatus for assuring contact between superposed thin sheets of material transported on a movable carriage in which a freely rotatable, resilient roll is disposed above the carriage at a spacing less than the roll radius such that movement of the carriage past the roll causes engagement of the same such that the roll is flattened and pressed against the superposed sheets on the carriage and rotated thereby to assure positive contact between the sheets while precluding relative movement therebetween.

摘要: An improved copying apparatus, operating with a transfer and a receiving material, which are brought in contact with each other, wherein one material, and preferably the transfer material, is stored as a band on a reel, and a cutting device is mounted in the apparatus, and wherein, viewed in the direction of processing, a developing section is arranged downstream of the exposure section, and the band-shaped transfer material is pulled over an exposure plate and is combined with the receiving material upstream or in front of the exposure section. More particularly, the invention relates to a copying apparatus with a vertically movable contact pressure cover over the exposure plate, and co-acting therewith, and to the construction and arrangement of the guillotine and the transport mechanisms. Also the receiving material may be stored in the form of sheets in a stack. In particular, the invention also aims at providing a copier in compact form.

摘要: The machine controller is adapted for use with a copying machine which is adapted to perform a plurality of functions including printing copies. The controller includes various machine synchronizing circuits and, in addition, a first counter for counting copies made, a second counter for registering copies to be made, and third counter, all of the counters being interrelated to control the making of copies, detecting when the desired number of copies have been made, and turning off the machine at the end of a copying cycle.
