    摘要: A front-end image acquisition component acquires photographs and/or videos of the exterior of a vehicle traveling on a path between a first predefined location and a second predefined location. In one aspect, an image acquisition system comprises a first camera support structure, a second camera support structure, an image processor, and a memory. Cameras are affixed to each of the camera support structures for acquiring image data of a subject vehicle. Image data is controlled by the image processor and the memory. In another aspect, an image acquisition system comprises a first camera tower, a second camera tower, a camera boom. Cameras are affixed to each of the camera towers. In another aspect, a method of identifying features of the exterior of a vehicle includes acquiring a series of images from a front-end component, accessing previously acquired images and associated metadata stored in a database, executing machine learning algorithms using the previously acquired information to identify at least one exterior vehicle feature, and executing machine learning algorithms using the presently acquired series of images to identify at least one exterior feature of the vehicle.

    摘要: An improved camera system includes an uncooled thermal imaging sensor, a rotary actuator, a rotary encoder, and a slip ring. The rotary actuator is physically coupled to the uncooled thermal imaging sensor and enables the sensor to rotate a full 360 degrees any number of times relative to the system's horizontal base. Through the use of the slip ring, the sensor and the sensor's wiring can rotate freely without impedance. Notably, the sensor's wiring can be disposed through a central through-hole running the length of the rotary actuator. Therefore, prior to reaching the slip ring, the sensor and its wiring rotate in unison with the rotary actuator. The encoder is structured to monitor the angular position of the sensor in order to accurately determine where the sensor is being aimed.

    摘要: The present invention initially relates to a method for generating an image of a sample, said image being pieced together from a plurality of individual microscope images. A microscope is provided, for which a measurement value of a twist angle (δ) present between an image recording unit of the microscope and an object stage of the microscope and a measurement accuracy of this measurement value are known. There is a recording of a first individual microscope image of the sample using the microscope and a displacement of the image recording unit and the sample-supporting object stage relative to one another, whereupon a second individual microscope image (02) of the sample is recorded using the microscope. A search region is determined in the second or first individual microscope image, an overlap region between the individual microscope images being expected in said search region.

Also disclosed herein are systems and methods for using the same.
