摘要: A video encoder determines scaled transform coefficients, wherein determining the scaled transform coefficients comprises scaling transform coefficients of a block of the video data according to a given quantization step. The video encoder determines scalar quantized coefficients, wherein determining the scalar quantized coefficients comprises applying scalar quantization to the scaled transform coefficients of the block. Additionally, the video encoder applies a neural network that determines a respective set of probabilities for each respective transform coefficient of the block. The respective set of probabilities for the respective transform coefficient includes a respective probability value for each possible adjustment value in a plurality of possible adjustment values. Inputs to the neural network include the scaled transform coefficients and the scalar quantized coefficients. The video encoder determines, based on the set of probabilities for a particular transform coefficient of the block, a quantization level for the particular transform coefficient.

摘要: According to one embodiment, a method, computer system, and computer program product for smoothing one or more surfaces of a 3D-printed object in reduced gravity is provided. The present invention may include positioning one or more radiative heating elements to evenly heat one or more surfaces of a 3D-printed object based on a shape of the 3D-printed object; determining, for at least one of the one or more radiative heating elements, a desired heat output necessary to melt the outermost layers of the one or more surfaces; and pulsing the one or more radiative heating elements to melt the one or more surfaces, wherein the duration and frequency of the pulsing is configured to achieve the desired heat output.

摘要: Various embodiments enable a robot, or other autonomous or semi-autonomous device or system, to receive data involving the performance of a task in the physical world. The data can be provided as input to a perception network to infer a set of percepts about the task, which can correspond to relationships between objects observed during the performance. The percepts can be provided as input to a plan generation network, which can infer a set of actions as part of a plan. Each action can correspond to one of the observed relationships. The plan can be reviewed and any corrections made, either manually or through another demonstration of the task. Once the plan is verified as correct, the plan (and any related data) can be provided as input to an execution network that can infer instructions to cause the robot, and/or another robot, to perform the task.

摘要: An engine control system includes an engine controller configured to execute an open-loop model of the engine control system. The open-loop model receives a measured effector and boundary condition parameter vector and generates a synthesized engine operating parameter based on the measured effector and boundary condition parameter vector. The engine controller calculates a corrector error value between the synthesized engine operating parameter and a measured engine operating parameter, and determines an open loop corrector error calculated as a difference between the corrector error and a vector-matrix product of corrector state vector and a gain map/function. The engine controller applies the gain map/function to the open loop corrector error to determine an effector and boundary condition error vector of the measured effector and boundary condition parameter vector.

摘要: Systems and methods include a method for multi-segmented oil production. A multi-segmented well production model representing production at a multi-segmented oil production facility is calibrated. The model models production based on well rates and flowing bottom-hole pressure data at various choke settings for multiple flow conditions for each segment of the multi-segmented well. Real-time updates to the well rates and the flowing bottom-hole pressure data are received. Changes to triggers identifying thresholds for identifying production improvements are received. The model is re-calibrated based on the changes to the triggers and the real-time updates. An optimization algorithm is executed to determine new optimal inflow control valve (ICV) settings. Using the re-calibrated multi-segmented well production model, a determination is made whether the new optimal ICV settings improve production. If so, the optimal ICV settings are provided to a control panel for the multi-segmented oil production facility.

摘要: The invention discloses a MIMO different-factor compact-form model-free control method with parameter self-tuning. In view of the limitations of the existing MIMO compact-form model-free control method with the same-factor structure, namely, at time k, different control inputs in the control input vector can only use the same values of penalty factor and step-size factor, the invention proposes a MIMO compact-form model-free control method with the different-factor structure, namely, at time k, different control inputs in the control input vector can use different values of penalty factors and/or step-size factors, which can solve control problems of strongly nonlinear MIMO systems with different characteristics between control channels widely existing in complex plants. Meanwhile, parameter self-tuning is proposed to effectively address the problem of time-consuming and cost-consuming when tuning the penalty factors and/or step-size factors. Compared with the existing method, the inventive method has higher control accuracy, stronger stability and wider applicability.

摘要: Improved systems and methods for operating moveable architectural elements (e.g., furniture) are described. The system can include improved features implemented throughout various elements, including hardware elements, controller elements, and/or software elements. As one example, the system can feature the ability to map a characteristic load profile across a particular length of actuation and, if during operation a measured load exceeds the profile, adjust (e.g., stop) the system's motion. The system can also advantageously map its current draw to increase energy efficiency. In addition, the system can include a positioning system that enables it to automatically determine its position upon start up and during operation. In some implementations, the system includes multiple moveable elements (e.g., furniture items). In some cases, power is distributed to the moveable element(s) using a moveable power distribution module. Many other improvements and features are contemplated and described.
