Abstract: A differential logger stores, into a log storage from a device memory, a differential log being a log of a device value that has changed at each execution of a control program. A collective logger collectively stores, at a set time, collection target device values into the log storage as reference data to be used to collect the differential log. A split logger acquires as split logs, after the set time, logs of the device values multiple times, and stores the split logs into the reference data storage. The differential logger overwrites data in the log storage with the differential log after new reference data is stored into the log storage.

Abstract: According to one or more embodiments of the disclosure, a networking device receives a policy for an endpoint in a network. The policy specifies one or more component tags and one or more activity tags that were assigned to the endpoint based on deep packet inspection of traffic associated with the endpoint. The networking device identifies a set of tags for a particular traffic flow in the network associated with the endpoint. The set of tags comprises one or more component tags or activity tags associated with the particular traffic flow. The networking device makes a determination that the particular traffic flow violates the policy based on the set of tags comprising a tag that is not in the policy. The networking device initiates, based on the determination that the particular traffic flow violates the policy, a corrective measure with respect to the particular traffic flow.

Abstract: An industrial internet of things (IoT) gateway is communicatively coupled to (a) fluid condition sensor(s) monitoring (an) operating parameter(s) of fluid power system fluid, via a programmable logic controller (PLC) data communications protocol interface. The IoT gateway includes a PLC data communications protocol interface master function, a cloud computing interface module and program instructions to periodically sample fluid condition sensor readings, format the readings, and send the readings to a cloud computing message queuing telemetry transport broker for processing by a cloud monitoring system. Machine learning provides predictions of fluid quality and buildup of varnish in the fluid system, applies a scoring algorithm to predict fluid system failure. These predictions may be used to automatically create (a) work ticket(s) related to the fluid system. Servicing by mitigation of varnish, installation of the sensor system, issuance of a warranty, guarantee and/or service contract, and/or financing thereof, may be provided.

Abstract: A distributed control system (DCS) of an industrial process plant includes a data center storing a plant information model that includes a description of physical components, the control framework, and the control network of the plant using a modeling language. A set of exposed APIs provides DCS applications access to the model, and to an optional generic framework of the data center which stores basic structures and functions from which the DCS may automatically generate other structures and functions to populate the model and to automatically create various applications and routines utilized during run-time operations of the DCS and plant. Upon initialization, the DCS may automatically sense the I/O types of its interface ports, detect communicatively connected physical components within the plant, and automatically populate the plant information model accordingly. The DCS may optionally automatically generate related control routines and/or I/O data delivery mechanisms, HMI routines, and the like.
