摘要： A governor valve for a hydraulic controller in an automatic transmission, which is disclosed herein, comprises an adapter having a line pressure supply bore made therethrough, a cylindrical governor rotary shaft loosely fitted into the adapter sleeve and having a line pressure supply port made therein, the port including notches intersecting the axis at right angles, a centrifugal weight mounted on one end of the governor rotary shaft and having a return spring, and a spool adapted to slide within the governor rotary shaft with the weight being urged against one end thereof. In this governor valve, there are provided dirt and dust collecting means for preventing dirt and dust separated by a centrifugal action from collecting in the line pressure supply port during the stoppage of the governor rotary shaft so as to make the shaft stick.

摘要： A governor valve for an automatic transmission comprising a valve body and a body support secured together and for rotation with an output shaft of the transmission. A line pressure passage connected to pressured fluid in the transmission and a governor pressure passage for operating the governor are formed in the body support, and passage means in the governor body connects the line pressure passage to the governor pressure passage. A normally closed valve is disposed in the passage means and normally blocks communication between the line pressure passage and the governor pressure passage, and the valve is operable to open in response to centrifugal force imparted thereto during rotation of the shaft to communicate the line pressure passage with the governor pressure passage and to actuate the governor. The passage means includes a bore in the governor valve body which is inclined relative to the axis of rotation of the shaft, and a strainer is disposed in the bore to prevent foreign matter from entering the valve.

摘要： A flyweight governor valve assembly having a fluid pressure modulator valve element mounted within a valve chamber for axial movement, a first set of primary and secondary weights mounted on a valve sleeve that forms a part of the governor valve assembly, a second set of primary and secondary weights mounted on said sleeve for rotation about the axis of said valve assembly. A spring acting between the primary and secondary weights of each set of weights, the primary weight for one set being separated from its corresponding second weight at a first brake point speed and a primary weight of the second set of weights being separated from its associated second weight at a second brake point speed, each set of weights being pivotally carried by a lever, the operating end of which engages the valve element whereby centrifugal force acting on said weight are translated to axial shifting movement of said valve element to oppose fluid pressure forces acting thereon.
