    摘要: This disclosure describes a gate driver with voltage boosting capabilities. In some embodiments, the gate driver may comprise a charge pump that includes capacitor(s) and switch(es). Responsive a logic low input signal, the gate driver may bypass the capacitor(s) to allow the input digital signal to drive the gating signal directly. Conversely, responsive to a logic high input signal, the gate driver may couple the capacitor(s) in series with the input digital signal to generate a boosted gating signal. In some embodiments, the gate driver may comprise an inductor-capacitor resonant circuit to create a doubled output gating signal with respect to the input digital signal. In some embodiments, the resonant gate driver may include an additional voltage boosting capability that can be selectively enabled to compensate for a voltage drop during the signal transfer from the input to the output.

A step-down gate voltage control circuit controls a gate voltage of the step-down switch and includes a gate voltage generating circuit that generates a first voltage and a second voltage for turning on the step-down switch. A gate voltage switching circuit switches between the first voltage and the second voltage, and the gate voltage generating circuit includes a first voltage source that generates the first voltage and a second voltage source that generates the second voltage.

    摘要: A system that includes a regulator circuit is disclosed. The regulator circuit includes first and second phase units whose outputs are coupled to a power supply node of a circuit block, via respective coupled inductors. The first phase unit may initiate a charge cycle of the power supply node in response to assertion of a clock signal and generate a compensated current using currents measure through both inductors and the clock signal. In response to a determination that the compensated current is greater than a demand current generated using a voltage level of the power supply node and a reference voltage, the first phase unit may halt the charge cycle.

    摘要: A buck converter device with a zero-cross comparator with an adaptive threshold. The buck converter comprises of a control block that controls a first p-channel MOSFET switch, and a second n-channel MOSFET switch. The p-channel MOSFET switch and the n-channel MOSFET switch provide a sense signal utilizing parasitic bipolar junction transistors. The p-channel MOSFET provides a sense current for the pnp parasitic bipolar junction transistor, The n-channel MOSFET provides a sense current for the npn parasitic bipolar junction transistor. The sense current is stored on a capacitor, and establishes an adaptive offset adjustment to a zero-cross comparator.
