    Abstract: A power supply signal conditioning system includes a power supply, one or more loads, and a drive-sense circuit (DSC). The power supply is operably coupled to one or more loads. When enabled, the power supply configured to output a power supply signal having a DC (direct current) voltage component and a ripple voltage component that is based on conversion of an AC (alternating current) signal in accordance with generating the power supply signal. The DSC is operably coupled to the power supply. When enabled, the DSC is configured simultaneously to sense the power supply signal and, based on sensing of the power supply signal, adaptively to process the power supply signal in accordance with reducing or eliminating the ripple voltage component of the power supply signal to generate a conditioned power supply signal to service the one or more loads.

    Abstract: A two-wire load control device may be configured to compute an accurate estimate of real-time power consumption by a load that is electrically connected to, and controlled by, the two-wire load control device. The load control device may be adapted to measure a voltage drop across the device during a first portion of a half-cycle of an AC waveform provided to the device. The device may be further configured to estimate a voltage drop across the load during the second portion of the half-cycle. The estimated voltage drop may be based on the measured voltage drop. The device may be further configured to measure a current supplied to the load during a second portion of the half-cycle. The device may be configured to estimate power consumed by the load based on the measured current and the estimated voltage drop.

The power delivery controller is coupled to the detection circuit and configured to control the dual-role port device to switch from a source end to a sink end in response to the detection circuit detecting that the first power input end receives an adapter source voltage from the alternating current adapter and the second power input end bring to the dual-role port device.

    Abstract: A mode-transition architecture for USB controllers is described herein. In an example embodiment, an integrated circuit (IC) controller includes a controller coupled to a slope compensation circuit, the controller to detect a transition of a buck-boost converter from a first mode having a first duty cycle to a second mode having a second duty cycle that is less or more than the first duty cycle. The controller controls the slope compensation circuit to nullify an error in an output caused by the transition. The controller can cause the slope compensation circuit to apply a charge stored in a capacitor during a first cycle to start a second cycle with a higher voltage than the first cycle.

    Abstract: A hybrid apparatus for charging electric vehicles and mining cryptocurrency is provided. The apparatus may comprise an electric power input associated with a rated maximum power capacity, an electric vehicle charger, a cryptocurrency miner and a power coordinator. The electric vehicle charger may have at least one vehicle power outlet and a maximum charger power draw from the electric power input. The cryptocurrency miner may have multiple cryptocurrency mining computers and a maximum miner power draw from the electric power input. Each mining computer may have an adjustable intensity level. The power coordinator may be configured to determine mining power availability within the rated maximum power capacity after prioritizing power demand by the electric vehicle charger, and to direct the cryptocurrency miner to continue mining cryptocurrency by adjusting the intensity levels of the mining computers such that the cryptocurrency miner consumes not more than the mining power availability.

    Abstract: Systems and methods are provided that may be implemented to dynamically change the solid state drive (SSD) power and peripheral component interconnect express (PCIe) link state transition time for solid state drive for SSD operation based on current remaining battery power capacity during a battery-only power mode of an information handling system. In one example, an intelligent algorithm in software and SSD firmware may be implemented that will dynamically change the SSD power and PCIe link state transition based on current remaining battery power capacity during battery-only power mode of an information handling system. In this way additional power saving may be realized when current remaining battery power capacity is low during a battery-only power mode so as to extend the battery life for an information handling system.

    Abstract: A power converter circuit included in a computer system may include a phase circuit and a sample circuit. The phase circuit compares a voltage level of the regulated power supply node to a reference voltage to generate a demand current that is used to adjust the voltage level of the regulated power supply node. The phase circuit also digitizes the demand current and stores the resultant bit stream in a memory circuit. The sample circuit generates timestamp information that points to particular storage locations in the memory circuit that correspond to trigger events, allowing the operation of the power converter circuit to be analyzed during different circumstances as well as to adjust operating parameters of the power converter circuit.
