    Abstract: In an embodiment, a system may include one or more processors forming central processing units (CPUs) in the system, a display controller configured to display frames on a display device, a memory controller configured to control a memory, and a power management circuit. The power management circuit may be configured to establish one of a plurality of power states in the system. In a first power state, the display controller and the memory controller are powered on while the CPUs are powered off. The display controller may be configured to read a plurality of prerendered frames from the memory and display the plurality of prerendered frames at times specified for each of the plurality of prerendered frames.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for architecture-based power management for a memory device are described. Aspects include operating a first memory bank within a memory device in a first mode and a second memory bank within the memory device in a second mode. The memory device may receive a power down command for the first memory bank while operating the first memory bank in the first mode and the second memory bank in the second mode and switch the first memory bank from the first mode to a first low power mode while maintaining the second memory bank in the second mode. The first low power mode corresponds to less power consumption by the first memory bank than the first mode. In some cases, switching the first memory bank from the first mode to the first low power mode includes deactivating circuitry dedicated to the first memory bank.

    Abstract: Systems and methods are provided that may be implemented to control operation of a power supply unit (PSU) during a low power state. The disclosed systems and methods may be implemented to control operation of a PSU relay included within the PSU, while the information handling system is operating in a low power state, e.g., such as the modern standby (S0ix) state. The disclosed systems and methods may also be implemented to provide intelligent PSU relay control that may be utilized to control operation of the PSU relay when the information handling system is entering, operating within, and exiting the modern standby (S0ix) state. This intelligent PSU relay control may include at least two operating modes: a modern standby mode and a normal mode of operation, and may be implemented to ensure that the PSU relay remains off during modern standby and returns to normal relay operation upon exiting modern standby.

    Abstract: A method for setting a shipping mode of an electronic device. The method includes the following steps: receiving a shipping instruction sent by a host computer to enter the shipping mode; and sending a shipping-mode feedback instruction to the host computer, where the shipping-mode feedback instruction is a valid-response instruction for a successful entry into the shipping mode or an invalid-response instruction for a failed entry into the shipping mode. An electronic device and a computer readable storage medium are also provided in this application. The method for setting the shipping mode, the electronic device and the computer readable storage medium can accurately feed back whether the electronic device has successfully entered the shipping mode, to avoid a problem that the electronic device not really entering the shipping mode can leave the factory due to omission, improving users' experience.

    Abstract: A reconfigurable controller system for one or more switchable electronic devices has a relay junction with a plurality of relay connections, each of which includes at least a load circuit input, a load circuit output connectible to a respective one of the one or more switchable electronic devices, and a control circuit line. A controller head unit connectible to the relay junction includes a plurality of switch buttons, each with an independent indicator screen programmable with one or more display outputs, and associated output functions to a specific one the control circuit lines generated when the switch is actuated. A scroll dial is receptive to a rotary input that responsively switches, for one or more of the plurality of switch buttons, given ones of the display outputs and associated output functions to another one of the display outputs and associated output functions.
