摘要: The inkjet printing apparatus is configured to be able to execute a batch adjustment process of performing a plurality of times of adjustment processes related to printing in succession based on one instruction from an outside. The conveyance control unit maintains the conveyance speed at a first speed in a period when a chart printing process is performed and a period when a chart imaging process is performed. The conveyance control unit decreases the conveyance speed from the first speed to the second speed after the end of the chart imaging process in an adjustment process except for an adjustment process that is performed last in the batch adjustment process, and increases the conveyance speed from the second speed to the first speed before the start of the chart printing process in an adjustment process that is performed next.

摘要: A printing apparatus includes: a conveyor; an image recording device configured to record an image on a printing medium conveyed in a conveyance direction by the conveyor; a divider provided downstream of the image recording device in the conveyance direction and configured to divide the printing medium; a detector provided upstream of the divider in the conveyance direction and configured to detect a trailing end portion of the printing medium; and a controller causing the printing apparatus to: calculate a dividing position of the printing medium based on a length of the printing medium that is grasped by detecting the trailing end portion by the detector; convey the printing medium in a reverse direction by the conveyor to move the dividing position to a position of the divider; and divide the printing medium at the dividing position by the divider.

摘要: A medium stacker includes a stacking portion, a rotary portion, a medium holder, a medium mover, and circuitry. The stacking portion has a stacking face to stack a sheet medium on which an image is formed. The rotary portion is configured to hold a leading end of the sheet medium in a sheet conveyance direction, reverse the sheet medium on the stacking face of the stacking portion, and convey the sheet medium. The medium holder is configured to hold the sheet medium when the sheet medium is conveyed by the rotary portion. The medium mover is configured to move the sheet medium to a predetermined position in a direction orthogonal to the sheet conveyance direction of the sheet medium while the sheet medium is held by the rotary portion. The circuitry is configured to control the rotary portion and the medium mover.

摘要: Embodiments of the disclosure provide for improved print position compensation, for example to improve accuracy of print job(s) performed by a printer. The print position compensation enables an offset of the time until printing occurs on a print media to account for changes and/or erroneous movement in a print media, such as due to slippage and/or other results of a force applied to the print media. Particular embodiments determine data values derived both for an output phase and a retraction phase of the printer's operation. Various embodiments generate a print position compensation based on sensor-based edge position distances determined during each of a media output phase and a media retraction phase. Alternatively or additionally various embodiments generate a print position compensation based on sensor-based media movement phase timestamp differentials determined during each of a media output phase and a media retraction phase.
