摘要: A system and method in which the Bluetooth technology is used in conjunction with a user application on a mobile device to facilitate hands-free fare validation at a transit station. The user app communicates with a controller driver in a controller unit that interfaces with a compliant fare gate. Bluetooth beacons are used to determine a passenger's proximity to the gate and camera-like devices determine whether a passenger has entered a fare validation zone. A user with a valid and active electronic ticket on their mobile device may simply walk through the fare gate “hands free” without the need to search for a physical ticket or a smartcard or a mobile phone. This hassle-free approach significantly improves the user experience and passenger throughput through fare gates. The Bluetooth-based automated fare validation system also detects passengers with valid electronic tickets and those without a valid permit for travel.

摘要: A computer-implemented method for providing covered parking to vehicles is provided. The method may include transmitting a location identifier of a covered parking location and a communication address of a covered parking location (CPL) computing device to a vehicle computing device and/or an insurance computing device. The method may further include transmitting a signal to the vehicle computing device indicating a number of available parking spots of the covered parking location when the vehicle computing device contacts the CPL computing device, receiving a request from the vehicle computing device to reserve a parking spot of the covered parking location, determining whether to accept the request, and transmitting a response to the vehicle computing device. Accepting the request causes the CPL computing device to permit a vehicle associated with the vehicle computing device access to the covered parking location.

摘要: Disclosed systems and methods provide self-service access control for rental vehicles in which a user's mobile device may be used to access rental vehicles and to determine and process payments for rental vehicle usage. A user's mobile device may be configured to receive a user-profile including one or more access rules governing a user's access rights to one or more respective point-of-entry devices associated with one or more respective rental vehicles. The user device may then provide an access key to a point-of-entry device to unlock a rental vehicle. The user device and/or an external device may then determine and process a payment for usage of the rental vehicle after the vehicle has been returned to the point-of-entry device from which it was accessed or to a different point-of-entry device. The user's mobile device may further be configured to lock and unlock point-of-entry devices that secure various vehicle accessories.

摘要: A power supply equipment provided for each of parking slots is configured to be able to be stored under a ground, and is configured to supply power to a vehicle parked in a corresponding parking slot with the power supply equipment protruding from the ground. A server that manages each of the parking slots and the power supply equipment is configured to receive a reservation request that specifies a reservation start time of the parking slot. The server is configured to reserve, from a vacant slot, out of the parking slots, that is unreserved at the reservation start time, a parking slot with a neighboring parking slot on at least one side unreserved at the reservation start time with priority over a parking slot with neighboring parking slots on both sides reserved at the reservation start time, when the server receives the reservation request.

摘要: Performing validation of road usage charging (RUC) systems is provided. A hardware processor of a vehicle receives, from an HMI of the vehicle, input to enter into a testing mode in which a test of RUC functionality of the vehicle is to be performed. In the testing mode, RUC charges are computed for a route from a start location to an end location, based on map and fees information for the test. One or more reports of the charges are generated for verification of the RUC functionality, the charges being verifiable based on the route and the map and fees information being defined for the test.
