摘要: Systems and methods to provide a portable alarm, are disclosed herein. The system may include a top component that includes a connector, a first securing protrusion, and a second securing protrusion that extend out a bottom side of the top component; and a base component that includes a narrow cavity, a first notch, a second notch, and a battery-powered circuit board, the first securing protrusion, the second securing protrusion, and the connector engaging with or otherwise connecting with the first notch, the second notch, and the narrow cavity, respectively, to provide secure contact between the top component and the base component, the narrow cavity is linked to the battery-powered circuit board so that responsive to the connector being disengaged from the narrow cavity, an alarm is activated and responsive to the connector being engaged with the narrow cavity, the alarm is deactivated.

摘要: A surveillance apparatus continuously records imaged data from a camera into a circular buffer in a local memory. When a record signal is received, the system records the video stream that was recorded before the record signal was received, and the video stream that is recorded after the record signal was received. The recorded segment is then write-protected, so that the surveillance apparatus does not overwrite the recorded segment. The recorded segment could then be sent to a remote memory via a wireless connection to free up local memory for future recording sessions.

The doorbell can be communicatively coupled to the parcel holding system. The parcel holding system can comprise a sensor configured to detect a delivery parcel located on the parcel holding system. Systems can include a first communication sent from the parcel holding system to the doorbell in response to the parcel holding system detecting an arrival, a movement, or a removal of the delivery parcel. Systems can also include a second communication sent from the doorbell to a remote computing device in response to the doorbell receiving the first communication.

摘要: An intruder distraction device comprising a trigger unit and a defense unit is disclosed. A user may be able to wirelessly active the defense unit using the trigger unit. Components of the defense unit include a distractor light, a high-intensity flashbulb, a reflector, a speaker, a power switch, a wireless signal receiver, cameras, and the like. Upon receiving the trigger signal from the wireless signal transmitter, the defense unit may be activated to sequentially perform the steps of playing a gun-cocking sound via the speaker, illuminating the distractor light for around 0.5 seconds, illuminating the high-intensity flashbulb via the reflector in a high intensity mode for around 0.5 seconds, and illuminating the high-intensity flashbulb via the reflector in a low intensity mode until the defense unit is powered off by the user.

The method can include detecting, by the doorbell system, the presence of the visitor while the visitor is located outside a building to which the doorbell is attached. The building can include a door having a lock that is configured to fasten the door to inhibit unauthorized entry into the building. In response to detecting the presence of the visitor, the method can include the step of actuating, by the doorbell system, a first appliance associated with the building.
