摘要: An image processing apparatus comprises a receiver (201) for receiving an image signal comprising an encoded image. Another receiver (1701) receives a data signal from a display (107) where the data signal comprises a data field that comprises a display dynamic range indication of the display (107). The display dynamic range indication comprises at least one luminance specification for the display. A dynamic range processor (203) is arranged to generate an output image by applying a dynamic range transform to the encoded image in response to the display dynamic range indication. An output (205) outputs an output image signal comprising the output image to the display. The transform may furthermore be performed in response to a target display reference indicative of a dynamic range of display for which the encoded image is encoded. The invention may be used to generate an improved High Dynamic Range (HDR) image from e.g. a Low Dynamic Range (LDR) image, or vice versa.

摘要: An apparatus includes a display screen, and an optical proximity sensor module disposed behind the display screen. The optical proximity sensor module includes a light emitter operable to produce light having a wavelength for transmission through the display screen toward a target object, and a light sensor operable to sense light reflected by the target object and having the wavelength. The optical proximity sensor module can includes means for reducing a maximum energy density of a light beam produced by the light emitter. The means for reducing the maximum energy density of the light beam is disposed between the light emitter and the display screen so as to intersect the light beam produced by the light emitter. In some cases, there are multiple light emitters collectively operable to provide sufficient optical energy for proximity sensing without producing a visible spot on the display screen. These and other techniques can help reduce or eliminate display screen distortion caused by energy from the light emitters.

摘要: Systems and techniques directed at dynamic power-saving mechanisms for displaying an image are disclosed. An electronic device determines an image to be displayed and an associated OPR for displaying the image. Based on the determined OPR, the electronic device generates a bionic image. Various mechanisms may be used to generate the bionic image. A display brightness value (DBV) or different blocking areas of the combined image may be used to generate the bionic image. The electronic device combines the image and the bionic image to form a combined image and presents the combined image on an emissive display. The combined image reduces a power expenditure of the emissive display that may otherwise be expended. The combined image may retain a high luminance for a focus area of the combined image while reducing the luminance for the remaining area (e.g., area outside of the focus area) of the combined image.

摘要: [Problem] The invention of the present application realizes image display that when multiple display screens are being used, properly controls the luminance of one display screen on the basis of the luminance of another display screen.
[Solving Means] An image display system for displaying images in display areas is provided. The image display system includes a first display area, a second display area, and a luminance determination unit. The luminance determination unit is configured to determine luminance of the second display area on the basis of luminance of the first display area and positional relationships between the first display area, the second display area, and a user and to display the second display area at the determined luminance.
