    摘要: An apparatus for assembling an aerophone instrument including an air conduit with first and second ends and segments to provide an air passage; air inlets on the air conduit to create an air entry point for compressed air to be delivered into the air passage, air outlets on the air conduit to create an air exit point for the release of compressed air along the air pathways, each defined by the position of an air inlet and the position of an air outlets along the air conduit. An air-filled object is positioned to be operatively associated with the air conduit. Compressed air is deliverable to the air conduit through the air inlets, causing an area of a wall of the air-filled object to vibrate and causing compressed air to vibrate in the air passage compressed air exits the air conduit from the air outlets.

    摘要: One embodiment of the present application sets forth a method for simulating an audio output of a three-dimensional object that includes a resonant cavity. The method includes receiving an input mesh of a three-dimensional shape and a hole configuration. The input mesh has an outer surface and an internal cavity, and the hole configuration includes one or more holes. The method further includes adding the one or more holes to the three-dimensional shape based on the hole configuration to generate a modified three-dimensional shape having a resonant cavity. The resonant cavity includes the one or more holes and the internal cavity. The method further includes determining an air pressure coefficient matrix for the resonant cavity. The method further includes computing a minimum non-zero eigenvalue for the air pressure coefficient matrix. The method further includes determining an output resonant frequency for the resonant cavity based on the minimum non-zero eigenvalue.

A mouthpiece is coupled to the resonating pipe to enable the player to create a resonating column of air in the resonating pipe and control the pitch of the instrument by controlling the coverage of the sliding rod over the first slot. A composite musical instrument may include the wind instrument combined with a stringed instrument.

    摘要: A musical instrument tuning device includes a tuning sleeve and a tuning collar threadingly engaged to the tuning sleeve. The apparatus is mountable onto a first portion of a musical instrument which also has a second portion, the second portion being slidingly adjustable relative to the first portion to change the length of an air passage to tune that musical instrument. In one embodiment, the musical instrument tuning device is mounted on a neck portion of a saxophone to which a mouthpiece is typically engaged. Rotation of the tuning collar moves a saxophone mouthpiece relative to the neck portion and thereby enables a musician to quickly and precisely tune the saxophone.
