摘要: A voice augmentation device disposed at a specific position with respect to a droplet suppressing member disposed between a speaker and a listener to suppress droplet generated from at least one of a mouth and nose of the speaker causes a base vibration input part to receive vibration from at least one of the droplet suppressing member and air between the droplet suppressing member and the base vibration input part, causes a mounting part to receive the vibration from the droplet suppressing member, causes a coupling part to receive the vibration from at least one of the droplet suppressing member and air between the droplet suppressing member and the coupling part, and causes a base vibration output part to transmit the vibration received by the base vibration input part, the mounting part, and the coupling part to air on a side of the listener.

摘要: A breakaway stethoscope includes a chest piece, a headset, a tube, and a coupler. The chest piece captures sounds generated inside a person's body when the chest piece is positioned adjacent the person's body. The headset directs the sounds captured by the chest piece toward a person's ear when the headset is positioned on an ear of the person. The tube connects the chest piece to the headset and conveys the sounds captured by the chest piece toward the headset. The tube has a length and includes a first portion connected to the chest piece and a second portion connected to the headset. The coupler releasably connects the tube's first portion to the tube's second portion and releases one of the tube's portions when the tube experiences a force that urges at least one of the tube's portions to move away from the coupler.

摘要: A method includes transmitting a focused ultrasound wave into a medium to form (i) an ultrasound intensity well within the medium that exhibits a first range of acoustic pressure and (ii) a surrounding region of the medium that surrounds the ultrasound intensity well and exhibits a second range of acoustic pressure that exceeds the first range of acoustic pressure. The method further includes confining an object within the ultrasound intensity well. Additionally, an acoustic lens is configured to be acoustically coupled to an acoustic transducer. The acoustic lens has a varying longitudinal thickness that increases proportionally with respect to increasing azimuth angle of the acoustic lens. Another acoustic lens is configured to be acoustically coupled to an acoustic transducer. The acoustic lens includes a plurality of segments. Each of the plurality of segments has a varying longitudinal thickness that increases proportionally with respect to increasing azimuth angle of the segment.

摘要: Methods and systems for performing purchase transactions with audio transmissions. In one embodiment, a method is presented that includes receiving, via a first communication interface, a first audio transmission containing purchase information for a transaction transmitted from a merchant device. The purchase information may be displayed and approval of the transaction from a user may be received. The transaction may be executed via a second communication interface responsive to receiving approval of the transaction from the user. A confirmation may be received via the second communication interface. An audio transmission containing the confirmation may be sent via the first communication interface, to the merchant device.

摘要: The present teachings relate to an electronic device comprising: a first module for generating an audio signal; a second module for generating an ultrasonic signal; a mixer for generating a combined signal; a transmitter for outputting an acoustic signal dependent upon the combined signal; and, a processing means for controlling the ultrasonic signal; wherein, in response to receiving a first instruction signal for initiating the ultrasonic signal, the processing means is configured to increase the amount of the ultrasonic signal in the combined signal from an essentially zero value to a predetermined value over a predetermined enable time-period. The present teachings also relate to an electronic device configured to decrease the amount of the ultrasonic signal in the combined signal from an essentially zero value to a predetermined value over a predetermined disable time-period, and to an electronic device configured to remove the audio signal from the combined signal whilst preventing pop-noise, and to an electronic device capable of replacing the ultrasonic signal whilst minimizing the processing time. The present teachings further relate to a method for reducing the occurrence of pop noise in an acoustic signal associated with: initiating the ultrasonic signal in the combined signal, terminating the ultrasonic signal in the combined signal, terminating the audio signal in the combined signal, and replacing the ultrasonic signal in the combined signal. The present teachings also relate to a computer software product for implementing any of the method steps disclosed herein, and to a computer storage medium storing the computer software herein disclosed.
