Abstract: A patient monitor can diagnose whether its speaker is blocked, malfunctioning, or at a volume that is too low. For example, the monitor can include a processor that can diagnose the speaker by recording a microphone input signal. The processor can compare the microphone input signal to an expected alarm signal that should be output by the speaker. If the two do not match or reasonably correspond to one another, then the processor may increase the volume of the alarm to determine whether doing so can overcome an obstruction, noise, or potential malfunction. The microphone can again detect the speaker output, and the processor can again make another comparison or analysis of the input with the speaker output. If the speaker output as detected via the microphone is still insufficiently loud, then the patient monitor may output an indication that the speaker has a problem.

Abstract: A method for processing sound used in a speech recognition robot is disclosed. The method for processing sound comprises the steps of: recognizing, by a robot, an obstacle on a driving path; calculating, by the robot, a driving distance to the obstacle; calculating a driving speed, by the robot; and determining, by the robot, a point in time at which a transient sound is generated by an impact caused by passing through the obstacle, wherein the point in time at which the transient sound is generated may be determined, by the robot, from the driving distance to the obstacle and the driving speed. The robot can transmit and receive a wireless signal on a mobile communication network established according to 5G (fifth generation) communication.

Abstract: Methods, apparatus, systems, and articles of manufacture are disclosed to fingerprint an audio signal via exponential normalization. An example apparatus includes an audio segmenter to divide an audio signal into a plurality of audio segments including a first audio segment and a second audio segment, the first audio segment including a first time-frequency bin, the second audio segment including a second time-frequency bin, a mean calculator to determine a first exponential mean value associated with the first time frequency bin based on a first magnitude of the audio signal associated with the first time frequency bin and a second exponential mean value associated with the second time frequency bin based on a second magnitude of the audio signal associated with the second time frequency bin and the first exponential mean value. The example apparatus further includes a bin normalizer to normalize the first time-frequency bin based on the second exponential mean value and a fingerprint generator to generate a fingerprint of the audio signal based on the normalized first time-frequency bins.

Abstract: An automatic robot control system and methods relating thereto are described. These systems include components such as a touch screen panel (“TSP”) robot controller for controlling a TSP robot, a camera robot controller for controlling a camera robot and an audio robot controller for controlling an audio robot. The TSP robot operates inside a TSP testing subsystem, the camera robot operates inside a camera testing subsystem, and the audio robot operates inside an audio testing subsystem. Inside the audio testing subsystem, an audio signals measurement system, using a bi-directional coupling, controls the operation of the audio robot controller. In this control scheme, a test application controller is designed to control the different types of subsystem robots. Methods relating to TSP, camera, and audio robots, and their controllers, taken individually or in combination, for automatic testing of device functionalities are also described.

Abstract: Described herein is a system for automatically detecting and assigning action items in a real-time conversation and determining whether such action items have been completed. The system detects, during a meeting, a plurality of action items and an utterance that corresponds to a completed action item. Responsive to detecting the utterance, the system generates a similarity score with respect to a first action item of the plurality of action items. The system compares the similarity score to a first threshold. Responsive to determining that the similarity score does not exceed the first threshold, the system generates a second similarity score with respect to a second action item of the plurality of action items. The system compares the second similarity score to a second threshold, which exceeds the first threshold. Responsive to determining that the second similarity score exceeds the second threshold, the system marks the second action item as completed.

Abstract: An education platform has systems and associated methods for using generative artificial intelligence to generate and present individualized education curriculums based on tracked user engagement with the presented content. The education platform receives a request to provide individualized instruction to a user on a particular subject, and presents first content for a first part of the particular subject to the user. The education platform tracks user engagement with each of the first content using a set of sensors, and determines the user's learning preferences in response to tracking positive engagement that the user has with a subset of the first content of a first type, format, or presentation. The education platform customizes second content for a second part of the particular subject to have more content of the first type, format, or presentation than the first content based on the learning preferences.

Abstract: A group masked autoencoder may be implemented for anomaly detection. An autoencoder network model may be trained without supervision and applied to output an estimated joint probability distribution of normality for a group of frames of time series data. The estimated joint probability distribution may be used to determine an anomaly score for the time series data. An anomaly may be detected according to the anomaly score and a result that indicates a detected anomaly may be provided.
