摘要: A reversible recording medium according to an embodiment of the present disclosure is a reversible recording medium that includes recording layers and heat-insulating layers that are alternately stacked, in which the recording layers each include a reversible heat-sensitive color developing composition and a first light-heat converting agent. In this reversible recording medium, the recording layers are different from each other in a developing color of their respective reversible heat-sensitive color developing compositions and are different from each other in an absorption wavelength of their respective first light-heat converting agents. This reversible recording medium further includes a heat-generating layer that includes a second light-heat converting agent having an absorption wavelength that is different from the absorption wavelength of the first light-heat converting agent included in each of the recording layers.

摘要: An optical information processing device writes and reads information on an information recording medium having recording layers. The optical information processing device includes: first and second light sources; a light condensing element that condenses light from the first and second light sources on the medium; a first photodetector that receives light reflected by the medium after being emitted from the first light source and generates a first focusing error signal; a second photodetector that receives light reflected by the medium after being emitted from the second light source and generates a second focusing error signal; and a focusing control circuit that controls the light condensing element by using the first focusing error signal in such a manner that the light from the second light source is condensed on each of the recording layers. The second focusing error signal is used to add a correction to the focusing control circuit.

摘要: A method is provided for judging whether a double-sided optical disc is placed reversely into an optical disc drive. The optical disc drive includes a first control module and a second control module. The first control module includes a first optical pickup head. The second control module includes a second optical pickup head. Firstly, the double-sided optical disc is loaded. Then, the first optical pickup head of the first control module emits a laser beam to a specified area of the double-sided optical disc and receives a reflected laser beam from the specified area. If the reflected laser beam generates an alternate brightness and darkness change, the double-sided optical disc is not placed reversely. If the reflected laser beam does not generate the alternate brightness and darkness change, the double-sided optical disc is placed reversely.

摘要: A system includes a data storage medium and a shockwave generator. The data storage medium includes cells and a plurality of layers. Each cell is configured to store information therein. At least two cells are arranged in a horizontal plane within a same layer of the plurality of layers of the data storage medium and at least two cells are arranged in a vertical plane in different layers of the plurality of layers of the data storage medium. The shockwave generator is configured to generate a shockwave signal that travels through a layer of the plurality of layers of the data storage medium. A target cell within the layer stores information responsive to a beam emitted from an emitter targeting the target cell as the shockwave signal is passing through the target cell. The target cell maintains the information after the shockwave signal exits through the target cell.

摘要: The present technology relates to an information processing device and method, a recording medium, and a program, which can improve a data transfer speed. In the recording medium, a recording area is divided into a plurality of simulated zones and a set of the plurality of simulated zones composes a simulated zone group. Then, an address is set to each area in the simulated zones so that the addresses are interleaved between the simulated zones composing the simulated zone group. By interleaving the addresses between the simulated zones in this manner, a local seek operation or a rotational delay can be reduced and the data transfer speed can be improved when recording or reproducing data to the recording medium in more than one channel at the same time. The present technology can be applied to an optical disk.
