The shielding layer includes at least a first metal layer and a second metal layer. The first metal layer and the second metal layer have different metal materials. The first metal layer and the second metal layer are integrally composited. With this arrangement, the shielding effect of the cable is improved.

摘要: A signal cable for an AC-coupled link, may include: a signal conductor; a dielectric surrounding the signal conductor; and a ground sheath having a conductive layer disposed at least partially around the conductor such that the dielectric is positioned between the ground sheath and the signal conductor, wherein the conductive layer comprises a first portion extending in a first direction along the cable and a second portion extending in a second direction, opposite the first direction, along the cable and further wherein the first and second portions of the conductive layer are separated from each other by a gap, the gap being dimensioned to provide a determined amount of capacitance in series in the ground sheath. The gap may form a complete separation between the first and second portions of the conductive layer.

摘要: A communication network includes first and second coaxial cables. The first cable transmits forward path, downstream signals to customer devices. The second cable receives reverse path, upstream signals from customer devices. In a preferred embodiment, the downstream bandwidth exceeds 500 MHz and the upstream bandwidth exceeds 500 MHz, such as frequencies of 5 to 550 MHz in both the downstream and upstream directions. A power inserter provides a ground to first and second shielding layers of the first and second cables, a first part of a differential power signal to a center conductor of the first cable and a second part of the differential power signal to a center conductor of the second cable. A tap is also provided for the dual coaxial system, so as to provide access to the signals and/or power of the first and second cables without terminating the first and second cables.

The cable has a characteristic impedance of 95 Ohms and can support transmission data according to either USB 3.0 or HDMI 1.4 performance specifications. The wire cable includes a pair of conductors, a shield surrounding the conductors, and a dielectric structure configured to maintain a first predetermined spacing between the conductors and a second predetermined spacing between said conductors and said shield. The shield includes an inner shield conductor enclosing the dielectric structure and an outer shield conductor enclosing the inner shield conductor.

摘要: The present disclosure provides an electric cable, comprising two signal conductors, a resin insulating layer, an expanded polytetrafluoroethylene insulating film, an electromagnetic shielding film, two ground conductors, and a covering layer. The resin insulating layer covers the two signal conductors. The expanded polytetrafluoroethylene insulating film covers the resin insulating layer. The electromagnetic shielding film covers the expanded polytetrafluoroethylene insulating film. The two ground conductors are disposed at two sides of the electromagnetic shielding film. The cladding layer clads the electromagnetic shielding film and the two ground conductors. Through the expanded polytetrafluoroethylene insulating film, the electric cable can be applied to compact products, and the electric cable can be highly flexible such that the signal transmission performance would not be affected after being repeatedly bent.

摘要: An indoor rated communications cable includes a communications carrying medium surrounded by a jacket. A material used to form the jacket is a polymer including a microencapsulated ammonium octamolybdate (AOM) additive therein. In some embodiments, the polymer may include polyvinyl chloride (PVC), fluorinated ethylene propylene (FEP) or polyolefin (PO). One or more additional flame retardants may also be added to the polymer. The communications cable may be a twisted pair, fiber optic or coaxial cable. The present invention also provides a method of forming the communications cable.

摘要: The disclosed embodiments provide a plurality of antennas that can be interconnected with each other and with a central receiver in a self-assembling manner, such that antennas can be added, removed, and replaced with minimal configuration. Each antenna comprises an antenna feed circuit, an input connector, and an output connector. Each of the antennas may be configured to assign a first set of signal channels at its output connector to a second set of signal channels at its input connector (or vice versa) according to a predetermined or dynamically determined mapping. Each antenna may be further configured to assign a signal channel at its input connector to the signal it receives at its antenna feed circuitry. By sharing the same configuration for mapping signal channels between the antennas' input and output connectors and feed circuitry, the antennas can be added or removed in a sequence of antennas using simple cable connections and without having to rewire the connections at the central receiver.
