    摘要: Modular wire management systems may include connectors configured for mounting on a base and for connecting to extension members, thereby connecting extension members to one another, to form a framework for managing and routing wires at one or more heights above the base. The systems may further include securing members configured to secure wires to the framework. Modularity may be provided in that every extension member may be connectable to every connector, and every connector may be connectable to every extension member. Connections may be achieved by secure but detachable friction fit, providing both stability and easy reconfigurability. Flexibility of configurability may be provided by a wide range of different kinds of connectors. Connectors may be provided with non-electrically conductive mounting portions for connecting to the base. Apparatuses and methods are also provided.

    摘要: A polymer bushing includes: an inner conductor; a hard insulating tube; a shielding metal fitting; a polymer covering that includes a body part that covers an outer periphery of the insulating tube, and a plurality of umbrella-shaped sheds that are formed at an outer periphery of the body part; and an electric-field stress-control layer that is composed of a zinc oxide layer or a high-permittivity layer, and is disposed along an interface between the insulating tube and the polymer covering. A rear end part of the electric-field stress-control layer is connected to the shielding metal fitting. The body part includes a first body part that has a uniform thickness, and a second body part that is located in a region around a front end part of the electric-field stress-control layer and has a thickness greater than the thickness of the first body part.

    摘要: A protective conductor cover for a distribution line conductor includes an elongate cover body having a longitudinal axis and including first and second opposed, elongate sidewalls. The sidewalls define an axially extending cover channel terminating at axially opposed end openings, and an axially extending bottom opening communicating with the cover channel and terminating at the axially opposed end openings. The protective conductor cover further includes an integral conductor retention tab having a base end attached to the first sidewall and extending laterally from the first sidewall into the cover channel to a free terminal end of the conductor retention tab. The conductor retention tab is configured to elastically deflect and secure the conductor in the cover channel when the conductor is inserted into the cover channel through the bottom opening.

    摘要: A dielectric cover system for an insulator supporting a high voltage conductor is molded to fit over the insulator to cover at least a top portion of the insulator and the conductor in contact with the insulator. A clip internal to the cover allows the cover to be freely placed over the insulator and then effectively restricts an inner diameter of the cover at a reduced diameter neck portion of the insulator, such that the clip blocks the cover from being lifted off the insulator and rotated about the insulator during high wind conditions. The clip is particularly effective where the conductor is supported in a side groove of the insulator, so the insulator and conductor form an asymmetric structure.
