    摘要: A wireless device charger configured to produce an alternating magnetic field, thereby inducing an alternating electrical current within a capture coil of a personal electronic device proximate to the wireless device charger, said wireless device charger includes a source coil having a ferrite element configured to generate the alternating magnetic field, a housing formed of a thermally conductive material in thermal communication with the ferrite element, and an air movement device configured to produce an air flow across a surface of the housing flowing from an air inlet to an air outlet, thereby reducing a housing temperature. The surface of the housing defines a plurality of fins extending along the housing in a direction of the air flow. At least one fin in the plurality of fins has a non-symmetric surface, thereby creating turbulence in the air flow.

    摘要: A power transmission device for a noncontact power supply device includes a resonant circuit that outputs an alternating magnetic flux by power from a power source circuit, and switching elements for making the resonant circuit generate an alternating magnetic flux, and transmits power to a power receiving coil of a power reception device by the alternating magnetic flux. A power transmission controller of the power transmission device includes a transmission mode of supplying alternating power to the resonant circuit by repeating ON and OFF of switching elements by controlling switching elements. ON time in one cycle of operation of each of switching elements used in the transmission mode is a first fixed value. Accordingly, the power transmission device in a simplified configuration can be provided.

    摘要: Disclosed herein is a symmetric split planar transformer in the context of a DC-DC isolated converter. The symmetric split planar transformer reduces or eliminates asymmetry in the distribution of parasitic capacitance across the isolation barrier going from one end to another end of a primary coil, and as a result, undesirable electromagnetic interference (EMI) due to common mode dipole emission across the isolation barrier may be reduced. In some embodiments, the primary winding is split into at least a first coil and a second coil, each occupying a different area side-by-side on a substrate. The transformer is symmetric in the sense that a capacitive coupling of the first coil to a secondary winding is the same as a capacitive coupling of the second coil to the secondary winding, such that common mode EMI may be reduced. Each coil may include stacked spiral coil portions in multiple metal planes to increase inductive density across the isolation barrier. Furthermore, in some embodiments the first and second coils may have opposite spiral directions such that far field radiation effect from the transformer may be reduced.
