摘要: The disclosed technology generally relates to energy storage devices, and more particularly to energy storage devices comprising frustules. According to an aspect, a supercapacitor comprises a pair of electrodes and an electrolyte, wherein at least one of the electrodes comprises a plurality of frustules having formed thereon a surface active material. The surface active material can include nanostructures. The surface active material can include one or more of a zinc oxide, a manganese oxide and a carbon nanotube.

摘要: A power storage device disclosed herein includes a first electrode terminal including a first conductive member, a second conductive member, and a metal joined part. The metal joined part includes a first region in which a first metal occupies 70 mass % or more and a second region in which a second metal occupies 70 mass % or more. The first region includes a region that exists on the first conductive member side relative to a border surface and a first protrusion region that protrudes toward the second conductive member relative to the border surface, and the second region includes a region that exists on the second conductive member side relative to the border surface and a second protrusion region that protrudes toward the first conductive member relative to the border surface.

Each of the integrated energy storage devices includes a supercapacitor, a battery surrounding the supercapacitor and a metal shell surrounding the battery. The battery forms a shell around an exterior surface of the supercapacitor. The battery includes a first anode, a first cathode, and an electrolyte disposed between the first anode and the first cathode. The supercapacitor includes a second anode, a second cathode, and a separator disposed between the second anode and the second cathode.

The electrochemical device includes: a ceramic substrate having a nonconductive ceramic layer, a current collecting layer disposed on a nonconductive ceramic layer and made of ceramic or cermet, and a metal layer arranged on outer surfaces of the nonconductive ceramic layer and the current collecting layer; an electrode having a positive electrode and a negative electrode and formed on the current collecting layer; and a nonconductive ceramic packaging module located on the ceramic substrate to accommodate electrolyte therein, wherein the metal layer is exposed to the outside of the nonconductive ceramic packaging module.

The respective first resin members for the bipolar electrodes adjacent to each other in a stacking direction of the plurality of bipolar electrodes are connected to each other by a welded portion.

摘要: A supercapacitor apparatus within a sealed housing to provide a high-voltage EDLC energy storage unit includes cells stacked on one another, with each cell having a set of supercapacitors that are interconnected within the apparatus in a parallel-series configuration to provide an internally balanced energy storage unit that is capable of stand-off voltages of 10 volts or higher. The energy storage unit does not require balancing resistors or more complicated external balancing circuitry. The electrodes of the supercapacitors are comprised of carbon nanotubes and graphene nanoplatelets.
