Abstract: A vacuum switch device has a housing, at one end of which a fixed contact is arranged; a bellows, which is fastened on one side to a flange at the other end of the housing and on the other side to a moving contact; and a guide bearing for the moving contact. The bearing is fastened to the flange and guides the moving contact in a sliding manner. The guide bearing is secured on the flange by an adhesive layer. There is also described a method for producing a vacuum switch device.

Abstract: An arrangement automatically configures a magnetic drive. The arrangement contains a vacuum switching device having a movable contact and a fixed contact, and a magnetic drive having two coils which are switched in parallel or in series. The magnetic drive, when switched on, exerts an attractive force on an armature and moves the armature. A transmission mechanism is configured to translate a movement of the armature into a movement of the movable contact towards the fixed contact. An actuating device is provided for the magnetic drive, which actuating device can be configured to an input voltage. The magnetic drive has controllable switching devices for the coils, and a configuration device is configured to measure the input voltage and to configure the actuating device to the measured input voltage, and to connect the coils by use of the controllable switching devices depending on the measured input voltage.

Abstract: An electrical contact includes a knife having a first portion, a second portion, and a fixed contact. The fixed contact comprises a galvanic contact point and an arc ignition point. The knife is configured to operate in a first position, where the knife insulated from the fixed contact; a second position, wherein the closest distance between the knife and the fixed contact is between the first portion and the arc ignition point to form an electrical arc between the first portion of the knife and the arc ignition point; a third position, wherein the closest distance between the knife and the fixed contact is between the second portion of the knife and the galvanic contact point; and a fourth position, where the knife and the fixed contact are electrically coupled, namely the second portion of the knife and the galvanic contact point are electrically coupled.

Abstract: Systems and methods for providing a replacement touchless button for initiating an action upon proximate detection of a solid object near the top of the touchless button. The action is triggered by determining that the solid object is within a predetermined distance from the top of the button. The action is accomplished by the closing of an electrical circuit within the touchless button, the button being configured to replace a push button without modification of a panel housing the push button. The button contains and supports, within its structure, all electrical and physical components needed to operate a device that can be triggered via a push button. The button serves as a direct replacement for a push button with no modifications to existing systems or controls regularly triggered by a push button.

Abstract: A switch cap for a switch device that can reduce a pressing error of a switch is provided. A three-dimensional first cap main body moves by a force applied to a first abutting portion from a finger which is an operator. A first sensor is disposed in the first cap main body, and detects abutting or approach of the finger to the first abutting portion. A first transmission member is fixed to the inside of the first cap main body, and moves together with the first cap main body for first switching to transmit movement of the first cap main body to a push button which is a predetermined location of a switch device. A first sensor is formed in a flexible printed circuit board (FPC) disposed in the first cap main body, and the FPC is fixed by the first transmission member and the first cap main body.

Abstract: A remote control device is provided that is configured for use in a load control system that includes one or more electrical loads. The remote control device includes a mounting structure and a control unit, and the control unit is configured to be attached to the mounting structure in a plurality of different orientations. The control unit includes a user interface, an orientation sensing circuit, and a communication circuit. The control unit is configured to determine an orientation of the control unit via the orientation sensing circuit. The control unit is also configured to translate a user input from the user interface into control data to control an electrical load of the load control system based on the orientation of the control unit and/or provide a visual indication of an amount of power delivered to the electrical load based on the orientation of the control unit.
